Wanted a traditional Japanese room and onsen experience and as far as I can tell, this was what we got. ||||Sengokukogen is about 30 minutes from Hakone Yumoto by bus and from the nearest bus stop, the hotel is about 300 metres away, with the last 100 metres being an up hill climb. Not the best of journey if you're lugging big bags. An alternative will be to deposit your luggage with Hakone Baggage service at Hakone Yumoto station, which will deliver it for a fee of 700-1000 yen. It's a quiet place, with charming views of surrounding mountains, including a hill side full of golden papras grass in autumn. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the Little Prince and the Venetian Glass museum. ||||For my family of 4, including 2 children of 7 and 5, we were given a 10 tatami mat sized room with connecting en-suite toilet and balcony. The view from the balcony was that of surrounding mountains and greenery. The ryokan comes with 3 onsens - 1 indoor public onsen each for males and females, and 1 out door open air private family bath which guests can reserve for up to half and hour at a time. Read moreHelpless and poor service customer service call center. I asked how do I book 2 night with special plans because that online booking system is doesn’t work also English page too. First time, She said sorry about that, You can book in this call now. So I gotta ask my husband, I called back a few minutes later. Second time, I think other worker picked up phone. She said “We can’t book with special plans from this call center. Please take online system” that’s it. Even though this system is very strange we cannot book 2 night with special plans that mean we gotta book each time ( need 2 times book ) if I want to stay 2night at online. That explanation is not there. So we confused that’s why I called 2 times call center and 2 times This Hotel directly. I can’t believe, that call center worker is very arrogant and gave me cold shoulder. Even though we found pet friendly Hotel also google review was good. I feel very disappointed. So I didn’t book here in this time. Hotel worker who he is friendly answer and he said very sorry me. Just he is good worker. I hope this hotel will be improve the customer...
