The first 6 pictures were taken immediately upon entering the room. The floor was not vacuumed well enough and found remnants of trash and also there were hair in the toilet/shower room. Location: convenient for those traveling by train as it is located very close to the station but inconvenient for those with cars. They only have 6 slots available in their parking lot premise. First come, first serve. Once full, you have to use a paid parking lot which are abundant around the area. Cheapest we found was ¥700/overnight. Staff: one male front desk employee stood out. He was very friendly, understanding and can speak English. Though there were self check in machines, he still guided me through it and gladly complied with my request of 2 additional pillows. The other staff were adamant that there were 4 pillows already in the room. I explained as I was pregnant I needed extra body support and he was the only one who understood. He even went out of the way to make sure the pillows had fresh covers and hand delivered them to our room. Room: it is your typical APA set up. Small but enough. Amenities: hangers, slippers, disposable slippers, body sponges, combs, razors, cottons, cotton buds, hair ties, shower caps, toothbrushes, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, face towels, laundry bags, toilet papers, tissue, yukata, green teas, coffees, creamer, hair dryer, television, ac, air purifier, wifi, alarm clock, chair and desk. 1st floor: onsen for men and women, coin laundry, free ice machine, microwave, vending machine, restaurant and self service...
Read moreHotel is conveniently located next to train station. There’s a big supermarket nearby with many restaurants around the train station & in the supermarket. Hotel is very new & clean. The double room is the smallest of the 4 hotels in Japan we stayed in during this trip. The semi double bed is set along 3 sides of the wall so it is very difficult for someone sleeping on the inside to crawl out of the bed. The TV in the room is so huge that it spans the width of the wall. There’s no space in the room for you to open wide your luggage. There’re tea/coffee making facility, mini fridge, kettle & toiletries but no hand soap. So we used the body soap for that purpose. The double room is meant for a single person and not 2 adults. We stayed only 1 night otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable.|Hotel tried to modernise their check in process by providing you with a touch screen monitor for self check in. We had a problem with ours and even when assisted, the staff could do it right. So it took quite a while to check in. Check out was fast and easy. We could hear the noise of passing trains in the room but it was not intolerable.|The plus side is that the hotel has a hot spring spa on the 2nd floor for guests’ use. |Stay here if you’re a single traveller. If you have 2 persons, compare prices of their bigger twin rooms with other hotels to see if...
Read moreI would like to express my gratitude to Ms. Emura in APA hotel. I am a tourist from Taiwan and I stayed here during 2023/10/10- 10/11. I ordered some socks online on 10/8 and asked the package to be delivered to APA. In the morning of 10/11 while I was about to check-out, my package was still not coming. The website revealed the package had arrived the Fukushima post office but I could not wait for it because I was leaving soon. I would like to call the post office and tell them I would go to grab my package in person. Just I could not speak Japanese, I asked the reception to help and Ms. Emura helped me very kindly. She called the post office for me immediately and knowing that the package was already at delivery with the postman. With Ms. Emura's help, the post office contacted the postman and had my packge being delivered to me at 9:40 am, just in time before I went for my Shi-Kan-Shan. Thank you so much for helping a foreign tourist very kindly and actively, Ms. Emura. I had a very nice stay...
