What a truly fantastic hotel that far exceeded our expectations. There are so many aspects to appreciate about this property. The hotel is directly serviced by the Meitetsu train from Centrair Airport to Inuyamayuen, although depending on the time of day, you may need to transfer at Nagoya. The property itself is pristine, with high-quality finishes that beautifully preserve traditional Japanese elements—from the rich wood used throughout the interior to the immaculate grounds surrounding the hotel. There’s also an on-site onsen (open from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM), with a crowd meter available on your in-room TV. This simple yet thoughtful feature is a great use of basic technology in adding to the guest experience.

We dined at the hotel’s restaurant, bar, and through in-room dining over the course of our four-night stay, and every meal was a positive experience. One thing we really appreciated was that the late-night menu could be enjoyed in-room without additional charges. We particularly loved the oyakodon and chazuke set options. Breakfast is served as a semi-buffet, with either a Western or Japanese set option. On our last morning (Dec 2), the host even took the time to thank us for being Diamond members and for our continued loyalty to IHG. This is the first time we’ve ever received such a personal greeting at breakfast across all of our IHG stays, and it speaks volumes about the level of customer service and attention to detail at this property.

That said, we do agree with other reviewers that there could be some downward adjustments to the pricing of the food and beverage offerings. While the quality is excellent, there is some disparity in the quantity of the offering. On the other hand, the room rates were very competitive, especially during the weekdays, and the hotel was sold out during our last two nights.

The hotel is lucky to be situated next to two national treasures: the Urakuen Garden, which offers complimentary access for hotel guests, and Inuyama Castle, located at the back of the property. While the garden is essentially on property, the castle, station, shopping street, and other attractions are a bit farther away. Additionally, there isn’t even a convenience store nearby, so a shuttle between the hotel, train station, and Inuyama Castle would be a great investment to attract more guests.

The only negative experience we had was when I arrived after my wife during the second day of our reservation, and the hotel revoked my wife’s breakfast benefit for her first day. While this decision wasn’t enough to overshadow the otherwise excellent experience—it did indicate a clear area for improvement in guest experience and deducts a star from an otherwise 5 star review.

Overall, this hotel is one of the strongest in IHG’s portfolio and is easily on par with Michelin-keyed hotels in Japan. We wouldn’t be surprised at all if it receives similar recognition in the...

Our family stayed 2 nights there with 5 rooms.Hotel’s design is very beautiful and located along with Kisokawa and Inuyama castle. We selected this hotel because it’s IHG chain and it’s brand Indigo hotel but we got some problems before and during stay. Staff’s English communication skill very poor. I expected they can communicate because this is INDIGO hotel but they can’t.Lucky us my wife can speak Japanese before everything getting worse. We sent email to hotel 6 months before about room assignment because we have kids. They need the connecting room but hotel replied me that cannot guarantee until check in date. When we arrived we cannot get the connecting room so the question is how the other guest got that room? No answer from them. And they upgrade me the wrong room too because they did not double check my email to see what I request. No greeting for being Diamond member and no welcome letter. We spent 1 hour for check in but the big group used 5-10 mins for check in. Breakfast on the first day was very mess due the big group. They should has better organize I talked with some guest they stay only 1 night but just they prefer Japanese food for breakfast so they must have breakfast in the BQ room with the poor view. They said they book this hotel because of the castle view but why they got this and the hotel rate is not the cheap price. No breakfast box! This very very shock me. The hotel has been open for 1 year but never served breakfast box.3 of my member have to leave at 6.45 am to the Nagoya airport.Their room is included breakfast so I asked staff at front desk to prepare breakfast box for them but she said we don’t have and the food from the restaurant is not allow to take away. That made me know she doesn’t know what is the breakfast box for guest who check out earlier in the Morning she think we will bring the box to the restaurant and pick up some food away. OMG how this happen for Indigo hotel? So I explained to her about the easy way for this case you just put 1 bakery like croissant and banana or apple with 1 btl of juice or water that enough to make me appreciated! But the way they select for me is NO we don’t have and we don’t do that.So I walked away cause it’s very waste my time to help her solve this problem. That time I think this is my problem because I choose the wrong hotel for ourselves, but at the end 1 of Nepalese staff came to me and said they will try to prepare breakfast box for us. I would like to thank you to some staffs from F/O(2 Nepalese and our driver who’s originaly from Osaka) for your very helpful and sorry I cannot remember your name.

Overall this hotel is beautiful you should visit during Sakura blossoms and Autumn will be best time for here.I will comeback soon because we have a good friend who lives in Maehara area in Inuayma and I expect to see the improvement during...

Beautiful rooms in a quiet part of Inuyama. Excellent service by the team. ||We stayed at Indigo Hotel in Inuyama and had a brilliant time at the property. It’s right by the river and has a view of Inuyama castle. There is onsite free parking. ||After a breezy and fast check in process, we went up to our castle view room on the fourth floor. Our room was right beside the lift, which meant that we could hear foot traffic coming out of the lift on the wooden floors. ||Our room was modern in design with some classic and local touches. There’s a large closet with a share, ironing board, pajamas and bathrobes. The toilet is fairly large, with a single sink area and some built in shelves for your personal amenity stowage. The amenity kit provided by the hotel contained the usual items such as shower cap, cotton buds, tooth brush etc.; these are not refilled daily. ||A small toilet cube is attached with the usual Japanese toilet functions. There’s a bathroom behind the glass wall, which has both rain shower and handheld shower. A bath tub is also built into this area. A shop shelf is built for your personal shower items. There are more than sufficient towels provided for us. ||A hair dryer and weighing scales are also provided. ||The bed is very comfortable, with two large pillows each provided for us. We felt that the quilt was nice and warm and kept the room at a very cool temperature overnight. ||There’s a sofa and a coffee table in the room and an outdoor seating area on the balcony. Next to the glass windows, there’s a shelf where tea and coffee making facilities are provided. I enjoyed a nice cup of Nespresso in the mornings. ||A large flat screen TV is hung on the recessed wall and you can get plenty of local TV stations and some English speaking ones, like BBC and CNN and a movie channel. ||I used the gym on most mornings and this facility has plenty of high end weights and cardio equipment made by Nohrd. Very premium feel and looks environmentally friendly too. I would have liked more kettle bells in the gym, but that’s me. Also, I thought it was weird that the cleaning crew cleans the gym at 8.30am, when it would most likely be occupied. Perhaps a 11am timing would be more suitable. ||Food at the hotel was OK, as we had dinner one night at the cafe. ||The staff at the hotel are very polite and professional. A very helpful Chiharu at the front desk helped me sort out my rental car cock-up and I was so very grateful. ||Overall a very pleasant stay at Indigo hotel and we loved the room, the beautiful hotel grounds and the friendly...

I chose to stay here for nights in this area after receiving recommendations. However, I must say that this was not a very good experience. Firstly, the service from the staff was lacking. We didn't need our room cleaned, but we informed the front desk that we needed bath towels and supplies. Unfortunately, they were not provided in full. Not even mention that the room had no view and was located on the second floor right by the hotel entrance. From the balcony, you can see the passing cars and travelers. Additionally, since the room is close to the elevator, the sounds of people passing by was extremely annoying. The double room only had one chair, and there wasn't enough space on the countertops or table for our belongings, so we had to unpack things on the floor. When we asked the hotel to call a taxi for us, I checked the estimated fare on an app, which was between 1000 and 1400 yen. However, the driver they partnered with used a meter and charged an additional 500 yen for unknown fees, resulting in a total fare of 2330 yen. Additionally, he did not help us with luggages when we got out of the car. We understood that the drivers affiliated with the hotel would charge more, but the lack of assistance with our luggage was definitely a point of contetion. After carefully reviewing the comments, this hotel boasts five-star facilities and environment. However, many of the negative reviews stem from the service, which is lacking due to a failure to consider the guests' perspective. As a result, the service is inadequate, leading to numerous complaints. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel. It seems that the hotel prefers to welcome regular or high-end guests rather than the average traveler.

My stay at Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen Garden was truly exceptional. The hotel’s architecture was a stunning blend of modern design and traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The room was well-appointed and the bed extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. One of the highlights was the amazing spa, which provided a perfect space to unwind and relax in Japanese Onsen style. The view from the hotel was breathtaking, especially with the picturesque Inuyama Castle in sight, adding to the overall charm of the location with easy access to enjoy the Inuyama area. The staff were outstanding. They were young, attentive, and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to providing excellent service made my stay even more enjoyable. Dining at Yamateras was a delightful experience that combined exquisite cuisine with an inviting atmosphere. The dinner menu offered a variety of dishes that highlighted both local flavors and international influences. Each dish was meticulously crafted, with attention to detail evident in both presentation and taste. Very impressive and showcasing the creativity and skill of the chefs. The semi-breakfast buffet was a wonderful way to start my day in Inuyama. The buffet offered a balanced mix of Western and traditional Japanese breakfast options by using local ingredients. But I only picked western ones in my stays though. The made-to-order omelet and eggs benedict were very delicious and the highlight was their croissant. Amazing. I couldn’t stop eating and of course good coffee😍

At Indigo Inuyama, you can get high end 5 star rooms and Japanese hospitality at a much lower price than what you'd usually pay in Japan. The hotel has a superb grand entrance and the rooms are ultra modern and eco friendly. Interior design is on point. My IHG Platinum Elite status was recognised with a room upgrade, to a corner river view room at the end of the building. This was well appreciated. Service was otherwise amazing, staff provided us with helpful insights on the Inuyama Matsuri (a famous festival held on the first April Weekend of every year) The main features of the hotel are the beatiful garden which is overlooked by Inuyama-jo (Castle 🏯), and the onsen. The garden is great but unfortunately there are lots of gnats, it's still a great place to take photos though. The onsen is very nice, but unfortunately there are not many rules posted so there are lots of foreigners misusing the onsen, for example by putting towels in the water and wringing them over the onsen. I think the Hotel should more strictly reinforce the Onsen rules, such as with larger signs and information in the room. The location is otherwise..alright. We actually went for the Inuyama Matsuri, but otherwise I've been told by an Inuyama Local that there isn't much reason to go. I think staying 1 night would make sense here, maybe 2 at most. It's not really convenient otherwise. As I said before, a big reason to go is to experience a really premium hotel for a much lower price. For example, Hotel Indigo in Hakone, a much more touristy area, is usually at least double the price of this hotel.
