Sankoinari is a charming and picturesque Shinto shrine located in Inuyama. We took a train to Inuyamayuen Station and walked there.
One of its unique tradition and attraction is the practice of washing money in the shrine's pond to attract wealth. Just pay 100 yen at the counter to redeem the basket, place your coins/notes (in whatever currency you prefer) into the basket and start washing! You then keep the notes that you washed in your wallet and not spend it, for the blessings. It's hilarious that some of the keywords on Google translate it as 'money laundering', as this ritual is definitely not illegal!
The shrine also has an attractive short pathway lined with vibrant red torii gates, similar to the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. Overall, It's a beautiful and serene place that must be part of your itinerary when...

Because the Temple is located near Inuyama Castle, most visitors would visit the...

Thankfully the man who came out later was very kind and helpful so we didn’t leave with such bad taste in our mouth.
Overall a small shrine that doesn’t take long to...
