Stayed here as it is near to our son's girlfriends flat in Musashikosugi recently. We have travelled to Tokyo before and have a good understanding of the way of life, so our expectations of the Hotel were spiced with trepidation, based on what we have seen before, having had stunning rooms in the past as well as 'smoke tinged' dingy, rabbit hutches as well - not so the Richmond! ||Located in the heart of this part of Musashikosugi, it is within very easy walking distance of all the amenities you could ask for. The lobby is located up a couple of floors by leaving a somewhat claustrophobic entrance area and the street behind. The Lobby itself is not the grand affair you can often see elsewhere, but this sort of hotel is more aimed at the Japanese business man.||We had a room with a double bed, a bathroom (with a BATH & a shower) the obligatory hotel style electric, musical, hot water toilet! The room had wifi, TV and a really comfortable bed - all in all everything you should expect, except the rooms are exceptionally small, again as a result of the leaning towards the corporate business market of the single man. That said, it was very clean well presented, neat and tidy. But the gem was yet to be revealed - and here comes the western twist||We booked 7 nights with breakfast, and whilst not cheap, the breakfast was a sight to behold, not just content to cater for local food culture, they go for global style! - a myriad of dishes for every taste, every continent, every desire, every diet. I have not yet ever seen a breakfast buffet that can touch it. You could stay there all morning and still not have tried all that was on offer - Magnificent!!||All in all, its proximity to entertainment, shopping, restaurants, bars, buses, trains and the underground is surely beyond rival and I would recommend this hotel even though it was a tad expensive. I would give it 4.75 stars if I could, but only due to the slight lack of room space and the cost (for 7 nights) at JPY113700 (£840 ish) including breakfast. Well worth considering if you are looking for a decent stay...
Read moreVery convenient, very close to all amenities including JR Narita Express station. Very nice and friendly staff. They helped me to chase up my suitcase that I sent from Kyoto. We arrived at the hotel around 11am. Check in is not available until 2 pm. But they kept our suitcases and carry on bags in their storage room and put them all in our room when we came back for check-in at 3 pm. The room was roomy enough for average hotel room in Tokyo. Room and bathroom were very clean, room service everyday. As in other hotel in Tokyo you will get not only fresh towel but also toothbrush, tooth paste, razor, comb, etc. Here when we check-in, they gave us saving cream, bath soap and other things that we could choose. In the room apart from the standard like TV and fridge, we found mobile phone with unlimited internet and calls free to use. JR station is at the back of this hotel. It took us around 3 min slow walking. This station is Narita Express station. The reservation office is located at the North exit. Nearby we found shopping centres with Uniqlo, Daiso, etc, supermarket with discounted ready food in the late afternoon, Foodcourt with plenty of food options. Fruit shop that sells the cheapest fruits we could found while we were in Tokyo. There is also 5 level building full of game machines. All these are around five min walking distance. Buffet breakfast was fantastics. Try eels, prawns or mackerels with onsen eggs on toasted brioche for breakfast. Also there are coin laundry and vending machines. No cooking facilities. Reception is...
