We went to have lunch there today, and it wasn’t our first time. Before leaving, as a kind gesture, I decided to wipe the table for them. While doing so, I accidentally touched something grey that moved—it was a worm.
At that time, there were three waiters. The first, a young man, came over and took the worm away. He mentioned that it might have come from some tree pots located a few meters away, or perhaps fallen in from outside since there was no wall.
Do I need to mention that this shop is located indoors, on the 2nd floor?
Unsatisfied with the initial explanation, we asked another staff member, who seemed reluctant to engage with us. When she finally approached, her first words were, “どうすればいいですか” (What do you expect me to do?) and she repeatedly insisted that the worm must have dropped in from outside the shop. I asked if this was really normal for her, as she seemed to be trying to convince us. She said no and ultimately voided the salad from our bill.
After we paid, the third person finally offered an apology for the incident—the first apology we received from the staff.
I can’t help but wonder: Is this the usual protocol? A worm on the table, with the staff avoiding the issue and not even offering a simple "sorry" at first? Even if the worm did come from a nearby pot, has the restaurant’s hygiene been maintained well enough to prevent something like this from happening in the...
Read moreI went on a Saturday so like usual, anywhere near Tokyo, be prepared for a 35-40 minute wait. They have an iPad so you can enter your name & how many people you have (in Japanese). You also have the option to wait at the restaurant or to receive a phone call.
The menu had English. I tried the pancakes and the “spicy” chicken. I also have featured a picture of my friend’s taco rice. The pancakes were not that great, it was very average. I felt like I could get almost same quality pancakes at the family restaurant and probably better chicken.
The restaurants ambiance was nice though, real cute and the restaurant staff weren’t pushy even though we were at our table for a while. I guess if you’re in the area you could try it but I won’t be...
Read moreIt was a bit difficult to find this place because it was on the eighth floor of a technology department store. We got there right when it opened so we were able to sit almost immediately. We started with getting some coffee. The fun latte options are very good just super sugary. We got both the strawberry and whipped cream soufflé pancakes and the tiramisu French toast. They were both so sweet which made it difficult to finish from someone that prefers a savory meal. The french toast was really good in my opinion but the pancakes I felt were way over hyped. The picture of the French toast is not very flattering but trust me...
