Visited last weekend and paid very high price over US$150. 2 adults stayed in semi double room and it was the tiniest semi double room I have stayed in Japan. There is only space of around 2 feet wide between bed and desk for you to walk and open luggage :) Service was fine, room was looking clean with little old dated smell. The blanket was also tiny, it was the same size as the bed so we had to fight for the blanket while we slept :) The person sleeping closer to the wall had to crawl over the other person in order to get to bathroom. ||||There is no parking nor car drop off area. No cold air air-conditioning in March and we had to open window which turned out to be quite cool at night. However the street was also noisy. ||||I wouldn't stay here again because the room was too small which was very uncomfortable for 2 persons. Location is great only for those needing to transit at train station. Unless you get an extremely good price, there is no point to stay there and bear the discomfort. I'd rather stay farther away with better...
Read moreI stayed with my family in a triple room so plenty of room for everyone. The beds were fantastic as many in Japan are too hard for me. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. It is very close to the station and we used it as a base to explore Kyushu as it has the shinkansen and local trains.||There are plenty of places to eat out as nearby is a saizeraya Italian restaurant which is a nice change. The food is reasonable and well priced.||Staff were fantastic.||We found a little market in/very close to the station in the lowest floor called th Red cabbage which had plenty of cheap and very tasty Japanese food. In the supermarket they also had a small 100 yen (for most items) bakery which got visited evey day after a busy day of sight seeing.||Yes I would definetely stay again but only if the price was reasonable as I did obtain but looking for a trip back in April it is priced at over $240 dollars, so check all websites...
Read moreBeware if you travel to Japan: I was put in a smoking room. I selected a non smoking room on agoda. Second hand smoke is hazardous and I don’t see how it’s legally acceptable to force guests to stay in a smoking room. Shouldn’t you list the room as smoking so the guest has a choice in the matter? Most countries have no smoking laws for the entire hotels and public spaces so I was very surprised this hotel could put me in a smoking room without any notice. The smell was so horrible and I got sick the following day. I’m not sure if sleeping in a smoke filled hotel floor contributed to getting...
