Visited on March 9th, 2020. Excellent location, very friendly staff. 7 minutes walk from the tram stop Kumamotojo-city Hall. The view to the castle (currently still under reconstruction) is offered from the roof top. I can't say I really could appreciate it: it was raining cats and dogs on that day. Minus points: the room windows are small, and this is reinforced glass with metallic gitter. It feels like prison to me (too much time spent in Toyoko-Inn hotels I suppose). there was a complicated coffee making machine, a capsule thing. But no water kettle. They have some at the reception, but you have to ask for them....If only I had known before leaving Fun fact: they provide night gowns. A nice attention, if the buttons were not too small for their openings. the thing kept on opening itself... (note: they are aware of it; apparently, the garment was designed by students.) Breakfast: option between Japanese and Western, plus a buffet for additional helpings and drinks. they only have black - American style coffee. I really missed the milk (not even available in the kitchen) Special mention to the staff: seeing that I had no mask in this time of pandemic - the product had been out of stock in Japan since I arrived -, the nice lady at the reception gave me 3...

The room is very clean 😍There is also an automatic coffee and tea machine.The front desk is friendly, they sell lots of drinks and food, and the prices are cheap!Last time I was so tired that I forgot to go fishing and also lost my apple watch cover.
