MisasaKan — Hotel in Misasa

To be short, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Here is a bit more explanation. The location is beautiful. However, the onsen hotel is not what we expected from the pictures. Interior is very old and lack of maintenance. Lighting is also bad. The worst thing is the dinning room. The dinning room is huge but looked like 60 years old.

The only good thing is the new re-modeled rooms. The rooms we booked are comfortable and lighting is good. The bad thing of the room is we have to walk thru the whole room to access the outside onsen from our bathroom which means we have to make the room and tatami wet before arriving the bathroom.

Worst of the worst thing is reception staff could not speak English. My whole check in process was in Japanese which we barely understood. When we checked out at 10:30am, they gave us another bills saying we were late checkout and charging us 12,000 Yen which was insane. They have not mentioned checkout time is 10am during the checkin and most hotel would not charge customers for 20-30mins late. Also, most Japan hotels checkout time are 11am - 12pm.

We know we may have some liability for not asking the checkout time in advance. However, this is also the HOTEL LIABILITY to tell customers the sharp checkout time if they are going to charge for 30min late. I cannot say this is DISCRIMINATION who are coming from foreign countries but this is obviously not treating their valuable customers well and this made a really bad experience to us about this hotel. Thus, we would recommend all to try other onsen hotel if you are planning to visit...

The location is beautiful, the walk along the river is very nice and you are in easy walking distance to the town which is very charming.

The staff are Respectful & efficient. The hotel gets a lot of bus tours so it is busy at times. Perhaps becasue the hotel gets so many tourists and the staff is busy it lacks the welcoming charm of so many of the hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan.

Sadly the hotel has seen better days and is showing wear and tear. The carpet in lobby and public areas is worn thread bare in places, the lobby chairs are worn and torn in places. The chairs and straw mats in our room were soiled and the bathroom & sink areas are showing a lot of wear from use.

The dining room appears to be recently renovated so this is nice

The guest rooms and common areas of the hotel are in need of renovations and modernization. Hopefully one day some investors will see a new vision for this hotel so it can become the jewel in deserves to be in this...

2021/4 コロナ渦で気になるバイキング。 朝食はチェックイン当日に希望の時間を聞かれる。07:00〜　　07:30〜　　08:00〜 朝一番の新しい料理、極力人との接触が少ない料理を選択するため07:00〜を希望。会場は２階のコンベンションルーム。6時55分くらいに会場前に行くと、既に3組の先陣が。開場2分くらい前になると、どっと人が押し寄せ10組くらいに。 7時開場。まず手をアルコール消毒して席を決めます。1卓1卓パーテーションで仕切られている。コロナ渦以前のときよりテーブルの数は減らされている。席は壁沿いの端っこが人気席。人の往来を避けるため、隅の方を選択。 席が決まると入口付近に戻り、ビニール手袋をつけ、お盆と皿を持ち料理を選ぶ。(着席するまではマスク着用。)料理テーブルの上には飛沫防止のアクリル板が設置されているが、横に料理をとる空間があるので真上からの飛沫は予防できるが、斜めからの飛沫は無理。 先頭の方で料理を取れば、作りたてで人と接触していない料理をとることができる。 おかわりを避けるため、好きな物は少し多めに皿へ。 ミルク、ジュース、コーヒーなどのコップ、デザート用のスプーンは上にアクリル板はなく、コップは逆さにした通常時の置き方と同じ。 味噌汁用のお椀も中にワカメが入った状態で上向きに置かれている。この辺りは改善希望。 席に着くと食事はマスクを外す。外した状態でしゃべる人、遠くの席で咳をする声も聞こえた。 結局、一度に20組くらいは入っていた感じ。 7時30分になると、更に第2陣が入ってくる。 早々に退散したが、それでも30分はかかった。

最低限、7時からの予約にして、食事を取りに行く列は先頭の方にして、おかわりはせず、席は隅っこを選択することでリスクは減らせるかな。

このコロナ渦で鳥取島根県民限定のクーポンも出ていて意外と宿泊客も多く(駐車場には30台程度)関西圏からの車も5台程度駐車されていた。 コロナが落着き、朝食が個別食にならないと再訪はしばらく無いかな。

冬の蟹コースは大好きで★★★★したが、以上の事で★★★(−★)

2019/2 【【新春☆福袋プラン】ずわいがに2杯相当かに会席＆福袋一品チョイス付きで年始からカニ！】プランで宿泊。 1万円代のカニプランは冷凍ガニですが、刺身と焼蟹は生で食べれるカニを使用。 カニの天ぷらなどぎ省かれたプランでしたが、アワビの姿焼が付き、雑炊も一人前でちょうどよかった。 貸切露天風呂も借りましたが、檜の香りをほのかに感じ良かったです。 部屋は中庭が見えるおまかせプランでしたが、寒い冬に外を眺めるわけでもなく、特に気にはなりませんでした。（前回は部屋食で三徳川の見える部屋） とにかく、三朝温泉はお湯が最高なので、お気に入りの温泉です。

2017/2 三朝温泉は毎年来ていますが、三朝館は初めてです。 宿自体は昭和の大型旅館という感じですが、しっかり清掃され管理もしっかりされていました。 食事はカニ満喫プランですが、ズワイガニ３枚相当と他の宿と内容的にはかわりませんが、露天風呂が最高でした。朝晩入れ替わる男湯・女湯と全く作りが違い、どの温泉も源泉掛け流し、加水加温なし、循環ろ過なし。 極め付けは貸し切り露天風呂の岩風呂。２０人３０人は入れる大きさの露天風呂を貸し切りに１家族で入れるなんて贅沢過ぎます。 1人の中居さんが何組も対応してんてこ舞い。それでも無難に遅延なく配膳を行っていました。こういったところが他の大型旅館より少し安い理由でしょうか。 宿泊予約サイトでは【ハイクラス】となっていますが、こういったことを考慮するとハイクラスではありませんが、間違いなく【ミドルクラス】以上ですかね。ロビーから見れる庭も最高。 この価格で泊まれるなら、決して失敗ではない宿の１つだと思います。 また利用した...
