Royal View Hotel Churaumi — Hotel in Motobu

Location is the only good thing about this place, it’s a 1 min drive away. The price of the discounted tickets are 1950¥ (from 2100¥), similar to other hotels around the island.||Laundry was a terrible experience here. When checking the lint trip for the dryer, we discovered it was really dirty. Not only that, the drum itself was dirty with sand particles and hair. Upon asking the staff to clean it, they did a cursory clean and mentioned that someone would come at 1am every day to clean it (how coincidental - that was at 12am). The next morning, of course it still wasn’t clean. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. It is also so expensive - as compared to the other hotels around Okinawa which offer washing for about 300-400¥ and dryer at 100¥ per 30 mins, this hotel offered it at 400¥ for washing and dryer at 100¥ per 15 mins only.||As for the room aircon, it is too cold to use in aircon mode and too warm to use in heating mode. Ended up sweating in the middle of the night. The floor isn’t carpeted. The pictures shown on all the websites are also not at all representative of the state of the hotel. It only showcases the room itself, which was accurate, but the toilet was so old. Probably the rooms got renovated but not the toilets. Also, if you chose garden view, it’s located on the first floor. The front desk is on the second floor. There is no lift down. The staff will help you transport your luggage down via a luggage lift and you walk down to a very old corridor. But thankfully there are also 2 levels of carpark so you can just park your car at level 1 and it...

My 3 friends & i had just returned from Okinawa yesterday. We had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had stayed at 2 wonderful hotels for our 10-day trip, of which Royal View Hotel Churaumi was one. We had booked a 4-bedded room that was located at the Hotel's Annex Building, just 2 minutes' walk away from the Main Building. We are all praises about this hotel which we had stayed for 4 nights - her convenient location, cleanliness, spacious room that is equipped with a stove & a washing machine, and a balcony that overlooked the beautiful Emerald Beach.

What makes this hotel even more special & deserving of praises is her staff we had met during our stay. All of them were very courteous, patient and helpful. We want to thank them all and in particular, we are very grateful to Miss Kayo and Mr Shimizu who had attended to our many enquiries regarding the public transport to various attraction venues, Mr Rama who had helped us during our check-in and also Miss Takimurra (i am sorry if i have spelt your name wrongly) and another young lady staff who had helped me retrieved a bag of foodstuffs i had carelessly left on the Yanbaru Express Bus YKB888 on our way back one evening. We also wish to thank your staff in charge of cleaning our room. Your wonderful staff are the ones who will bring repeated business to your Hotel! We will certainly choose Royal View Hotel Churaumi again if and when we return to...

The hotel is quite dated and old fittings throughout the room. The window didn’t open/shut properly. One of the side lamps didn’t work, there was no modern charging points for charging your phones on the side of the bed. There was some communication problem with the staff and we went into a wrong room (which had a door open when we arrived) and we only realised it was a wrong room when we looked at the number on the key very carefully. The room number on the key was not very clear and even another staff member struggled to read it properly. We did feel that the staff was annoyed rather than dealing with the situation in a more professional manner. The pool is much smaller than that shown in the official picture. This hotel does not offer cleaning/bed making if you are only staying for three days (two nights). Rational behind this is “being environmentally friendly”. Yet they offer fresh towels. I’d think that bed making/room tidying wouldn’t cost the environment if you don’t change the bed linen which most hotels these days offer the guests to indicate (by leaving some card on the bed if they want linen changed). I suggest that they consider doing this.
