We stayed here for 5 nights.||Location:|- Short walk to Asahibashi station, where the Naha bus terminal is located: this involves an overhead bridge with many steps, so not ideal when bringing luggages or for people with reduced mobility|- Walkable (about the same distance) to Kenchomae (Prefectural Office) station - largely flat terrain|- Family mart around the corner|- There are some car sharing and car rental places along the same street||Room:|- Well-sized|- Cosy feel of the tatami flooring around the bed area|- Kettle, fridge (with bottled water provided for free each day)|- Large bathroom with shower and bathtub|- Wifi connection is available, average connection quality||Lobby:|- Some of the staff could understand simple English, otherwise Google Translate is a necessity if you don't speak Japanese|- We could drop off our luggage and have it stored securely when we arrived earlier than the check-in time|- Full-sized umbrellas free to borrow and return as needed|- Bar counter and lounge area - there is a wide selection of free flow drinks for hotel guests||Breakfast:|- Various timings available - we spoke to the front reception to arrange the breakfast slot required for the next morning, depending on our plans for that day|- Option of Western or Japanese breakfast - same meal each day. Read moreThis was by a country mile the best place we stayed during our honeymoon, we were enamoured at every turn by the staff, the room, the BREAKFAST ah goodness I'd go back just for that breakfast let me tell you. When we first arrived, drenched in Okinawan August sweat and travel-weary, our spirits were lightened upon seeing our room which had towels impressively folded into swans, with a notecard between them wishing us a happy marriage. Throughout our stay, we felt as if we were in a happy bubble regardless of what adventures (and 35*C heat with 80% humidity) had tried to battle us because we were well looked after at Prostyle Ryokan with it's spacious room, gorgeously furnished, rejuvenating bath, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and did I mention the free bar?? The best choice you could make in booking your trip is to come here, it is truly phenomenal and we are delighted to have found it. Thank you to all the staff for making our time here such an overwhelmingly positive memory that my husband and I will...
Read moreI have stayed at the Prostyle Ryokan in Tokyo Asakusa before and especially compaired to that, this hotel has a few shortcomings. On Check-In the staff seemed a little bit overwhelmed, it was a little chaotic, which also made it feel a little cold. Considering the age of the hotel the well equipped room already had a lot of wear and tear - just small things, but everywhere (stains/scratches on the floor that i was not able to clean up), loose wallpaper in the bathroom, the cupboard looked like it already had a rough life, the color from the faucet was peeling etc.). Also cleanliness was a problem. There were so many hairs in the shower, i actually cleaned it before using it. Also a stain in the fridge. Compared to the Location in Asakusa that was a huge disappointment. However acceptable for me considering the way cheaper price. But for me, the PROSTYLE chain was associated with high quality and luxury after my first stay at the Asakusa location in 2023 so i was...
