We had booked a be night stay in this hotel. To our pleasant surprise, the hotel had just opened for business about two weeks ago and so everything was clean and in good condition. ||Approximately five minutes walk to the JR station, this is a convenient location for us as we relied heavily on JR rail to move around in Japan. ||The room was slightly small for a standard room, just like most Japan hotels. The only setback is that if you are a light sleeper, you might be disturbed by the sound of the trains passing by. Then again, there might’ve rooms away from the train station so you would not be disturbed. Fortunately, we managed to get a good night’s sleep and were dead to any sounds, if any. ||Love the welcome drinks that were served in the lobby. What makes this hotel stand out was that we could loan a diffuser and this was great especially with the novel coronavirus scare. There were also spa bathing packets and aroma oil that you could select and take for your use. ||Upon check-in, we were given a coupon for a free drink at the Sky Bal on level 32. This was a nice touch and we managed to enjoy the wonderful night view here. Whilst up here, do go up to the rooftop where you will be faced with some...
Read moreI couldn’t stand the smell of the shower curtain of my hotel room. I don't think that it is easy to change the curtain every day, but do something! Also, housekeeping did a poor cleaning job because I found hairs on the carpet. ||In the morning, the elevator was taking forever to come, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes in front of the elevator. Of course, the finally arriving elevator was densely packed. It's structurally unavoidable, so you'll have to be prepared.||My check-in was done by a self-service check-in kiosk, but it took a long time because the operation screen recommended me to buy curry made with the hotel owner’s special recipe.I thought it would be better if the front desk staff was more courteous to their guests. The hotel is located next to the Osaka Metro's Midosuji Line, so the train makes noise from morning to night. Fortunately, my room was on the 30th floor, so it didn’t...
Read moreWe knew to expect compact rooms in Japan though the rooms are extremely small and anyone tall or slightly bigger than average would struggle particularly if two in the room. On a positive note the room was very clean, the hotel had only been open a week.||They do not have enough lifts and they are very slow so not unusual not to get in when it finally arrives- looks like this has already been identified as an issue.||It is not all negative as the roof top restaurant and bar are very nice. Drinks were expensive but the setting was good and the food was very nice.||Fine as a base if wanting to use the very efficient...
