Pros: it's a short 5min walk from the station the staff was always friendly it's moderately cheap you have a lot of restaurants, the shopping street, the morning market, busses etc. within a short walking distance it has an onsen the japanese breakfast has a lot of dishes to choose from (if you don't have any dietary restrictions or allergies)
Cons: you are not allowed to enter the public bath if you have a tattoo the washing/drying machines don't provide any possibility to select the temperature or an option to use your own detergent. No information about washing and drying temperatures are given. So beware of your delicates! the breakfast dishes have no indication whatsoever whether it is vegetarian/vegan or contains any allergens like nuts, wheat, etc. The staff was not very helpful as they seem to not know the ingredients of the dishes themselves. They simply pointed to the salad section. This was the first Hotel, from the seven hotels we stayed in, where there was no allergy information. So, be extra cautious, if you have allergies or if you are...
Read moreLocation is good. It's hard to see the signboard from the station compared to other hotels, but it's on a well-maintained street, and there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. There were many drunks due to the season, but the security itself is not that bad, and police cars do not ring all night. The room itself was nice. It was well cleaned and the bed was slept well. The minuses were that the check-in was not smooth, that I expected too much from the public bath, and that the towels provided were smelly. (As a result, only one of the towels happened to be smelly, but I took a shower again.)In the public bath, if you sit on the chair attached to the dressing table, the mirror will be hidden by the amenities.I often felt like I couldn't reach the itchy places, but it was cheap because of the travel support discount...I felt that I would stay at a nearby chain hotel even if it was a little more expensive than the...
Read moreI stayed here for just one night, no breakfast. Lovely hotel, all western facilities expected and more available in the room. Keycard for extra security too in the elevators to go up to the guest floors. |Clean room. Lovely bathroom with lots of little essentials many hotels are no longer providing these days. |I had done a huge amount of walking and the best thing was the bed. It was so comfortable and I slept well for the first time in a long time. |Lovely reception staff who spoke English to me and they stored my bag after I checked out, a godsend as I had a lot of other places to go in Miyagi that day. They just give you a ticket and you take it back when your ready to move on. Check in and check out very simple and hassle free. ||I didn't use the food or onsen facilities but if I do return to Sendai I'd have no trouble in...
