A rare find hotel during our trip from Tokyo to Niigata. Hotel is very new and modern. The design uses earth tone utilizing wood & stone. It feels comfortable, relaxing. You can feel the hotel putting in lots of effort in details to serve its customer, yes, very customer focused. On dining, they provide power outlet underneath every table for you to power up your laptop, recharge your cell phone etc. A basket to put your handbag and belongings. Service is very good too. Good spread of japanese food for breakfast. Some western food is provided as well.
Public bath: very nice public bath. Not big but good size. Very clean. Both out door open bath and inside bath are provided.
Inside the guest room, small size but very functional. Most probably quite difficult to open two mid-size luggage, you just have to make the best use of the available space. A message chair is provided, even though not the best massage chair, but does the job after a full day tired trip. Iron & iron board, different charging cords, dehumidifier, dimmable lightings, bath basket with room key holder is provided for each guest. For ladies, they even provide amenity Kit with facial mask, makeup removal & lotion.
The only challenge is parking. Parking is in the next building connected with the hotel. No clear indication or instruction for hotel guest. Entrance to the parkade is opposite to the 7-11 Convenience store. Enter from either of the two lane. Hotel entrance is on the 3rd floor of the parkade. Parking is not free. You pad 800yen instead of the regular 900yen. You can pay the hotel during check in or check out. They provide you a ticket voucher for getting out of the parkade. When getting out from the parkade, first insert your parking ticket, then the ticket voucher you receive from the hotel. All these procedures are not provided in English. So a little bit of struggle there. If you speak japanese, this may not be a problem.
The location is perfect for those not driving. Itโs directly connected to Takasaki Station.
Overall, itโs a pleasant stay here and highly...
ย ย ย Read moreJust 3 minutes' walk away from the JR Takasaki Station with no hassle to moving up and down and bumpy roads, the Hotel is very conveniently located. No problem even for people with heavy luggage. ||||Upon my arrival I was immediately impressed by the refreshing interior design of the Hotel lobby, only to find that my room was even more impressive. It is equipped with everything a travelling needs (and doesn't), including a microwave oven, a trousers-press, a stationery kit, and even an electronic massage chair. The amenities were also some of the most comprehensive I have seen. Sound-proofing and bed quality was great; I had some wonderful sleep during the 3 nights. ||||The public bath, located on the top floor of the Hotel, was also of high quality. there is an open-air bath and a hot stone sauna. The facilities and amenities provided within the bath were all very impressive. One may enjoy the night view of the city while bathing.||||Morning breakfast buffet is very nice. There is quite a wide selection of food available and the dining area is just awesome. ||||Staff are very helpful, polite and attentive.||||Only about 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen, Takasaki is an excellent location to be a strategic spot for transportation. I chose the Hotel for the ease to travel north to Niigata (80 minutes) and Yuzawa (30 minutes), and to the west to Nagano (45 minutes) and Karuizawa (15 minutes). Within Takasaki itself there are ||some great sightseeing spots, too, such as Mount Haruna, Lake Haruna and Haruna Bairin.||||Overall, will definitely return for its highly competitive room rate and superb service and amenities. It is a perfect value for money. Will recommend...
ย ย ย Read moreAfter coming out of station I asked the way to the hotel to one of the ladies working in a shops at station but unfortunately she did not direct me properly so I had to go up and down and here and there asking several people and after walking quite a distance finally I reached. It is advisable that the hotel may put up sign board near the exit of station.||The entrance in the 1st floor was very narrow but tastily decorated. Reception area was in 2nd floor and it looked very good with nice lounge with good view of passers-by. Then receptionists were very polite and kind to explain about their system. The room was not big but clean and comfortable. The facility is also very good. Only view from the window was disappointing as just wall of a wellness centre was there, nothing to see. The quality of amenities are very good, far better than the usual business hotel. The reason of my selecting this hotel was hot spa and it was really good with two kinds of spas and sauna facility. I loved carbonated spa. There was a massage chair in the room but it was of not good quality. I expected a bit better breakfast but only few new items were there but nothing so...
