Stayed here while on tour in April 2010 for 2 nights with two friends.||||Upon arriving at the hotel, I was shocked that there weren't any flat surfaces or slopes that we could drag our luggage on from the main entrance to the lifts. And the staircase that we had to climb had a lot of steps. ||||The room was small and squeezy as per Japanese standards. The two single beds were comfortable but my other friend who slept on the sofa bed said he could feel the springs of the bed and it totally ruined his sleep on both nights. We couldn't feel any ventilation in the room and had to keep the windows opened on both nights. However, we did have a great view of the Rainbow Bridge. ||||There were 2 negative things about this hotel. Firstly, the breakfast that we had at the restaurant. Food tasted bad and there wasn't much variety. The cutlery was wet and everything just looked really unappealing. Secondly, the location of the hotel. It was located far from the main tourist attractions of Tokyo and even the railway station was like a 15- 20 minute walk away. There was nothing to do around the hotel but thank goodness for a convenience store opposite the hotel. ||||Why did I still give this hotel a 3/5? Answer: Staff. They were friendly, helpful, polite and most importantly, honest. I'd accidentally left my wallet on the bed and completely freaked out the whole day thinking the housekeeping staff would wrap it up with all the bedsheets and then it'll be lost forever. However, to my delight, the wonderful room attendant spotted it before that and left in on the bedside table intact. I really appreciate her honesty and it was really the only redeeming factor of my...

Read moreThis hotel is situated near the passenger liner terminal and presently the Olympic village for a section of the 2020 Olympics is being constructed. The views from the hotel are wonderful almost 160 but this could change when the village has been complete.||The staff while being reserved but welcoming had very little English. Barely enough to enable them to book a client into the hotel. We had difficulty requesting drinks for example we wanted two drinks and held up two fingers nut one drink arrived. We found writing down our request worked best. It could well be the accent we have which made it difficult but even speaking slowly did not help.||the room was spacious enough to be able to walk freely from the door to the window wheeling a bulky bag. The bed was firm, the duvet was winter weight in 38 degrees of heat. Only a bottom sheet so sleeping was with night attire only. Slippers were provided and we respected their 'no shoes worn in in the room' policy. The buffet breakfast was very good and suited all nationalities. A variety of dishes for western palates and all the appropriate dishes for eastern palates. Evening meals were catered for in the down stairs dining room a single dish style of menu. Upstairs the set style of menu which includes up to 17 small dishes for one diner.||The air conditioning was important and worked...
