The property was well taken care of, the staff was nice, and the morning buffet breakfast was modest but satisfying. This hotel is not luxurious in any way, but if you are looking for affordable, convenient and clean lodging it's a good choice.||||The best attraction is the location, just a couple blocks walk from the Meguro subway station. It was a pretty easy trip to/from the Narita airport, as well as the rest of the city.||||The biggest drawback is that the rooms are extremely small, and it was always a bit of a Tetris game juggling the two of us plus our baggage into the room. If you are carrying much in the way of electronics with you, you may want to bring a power strip. I needed one -- and that gave me a great excuse to visit Akihabara -- the "Electric Town" district.||||The breakfast buffet was plain but acceptable. I enjoyed having an authentic breakfast in the mornings -- miso, eggs, and rice. There was a fish as well -- possibly mackerel -- that was a bit strong for my liking. In addition to tea, there was an automatic espresso machine so I could have my morning coffee.||||The staff was very helpful when we needed it. I asked for assistance with tickets to attend Robot Restaurant, and the desk person called and made a reservation for us.||||If I was traveling alone on business, I think this hotel would be an ideal choice. If I'm traveling again with my partner, I may prefer something a little...
Read moreAs someone who has been traveling for the past 2 months and has very low standards from staying in many hostels and budget hotels, I would still say that this is probably the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything about this hotel needed to be renovated. The furniture was old, the hallway carpets were STAINED and disgusting looking, the beds and pillows were ridiculously hard and the bed was squeaky, the door was hard to open with the key (an actual physical key and not a card), there are NO POWER OUTLETS NEAR THE BEDS which was RIDICULOUS, the elevator does NOT have any sensors and closed on my shoulder as I was walking in. The rooms are also wayyy smaller than they look on the photo. The hotel literally looked like an old haunted hotel honestly. The location is also pretty isolated and there is nothing to do around the hotel. I couldnt even stay there after the first night had to find other accommodations. Felt really scammed by hotwire and other sites which somehow claim it is a 4 star hotel in a good location. More like a 1...
Read morePros: Hotel is very central, many shops and markets around. 5 minutes walk to the yamanote line's meguro station where you can go to almost all of the important sights of tokyo directly. Otel offers a good variety and quality of breakfast but it was exactly the same during our 17 days of stay and not very appealing to european taste , they change the linens every day and cleaned the room regularly. Rooms are small but useful in general. ||Cons: No heating in the room. Some of the staff at the lobby are not friendly, it is impossible to communicate with them and some of the staff member can loose their kindness in certain circumstances. I think they have no concern about customer satisfaction. They even intentionally lowered the lobby's temperature to make us not to sit in the lobby. They took the full payment while checking in, which is very unusual to me and this gave us trouble during our 17 night stay because of our credit cards' cut off date...
