Joe Backpackers in Tokyo — Hotel in Tokyo

We had a great time at Joe Backpackers! My partner and I shared a twin bunk room for 6 nights and found it so handy being a 10 minute walk away from one of the connecting train stations (Minami-Senju). The mattresses were super comfortable and our room was situated right outside of the bathroom complex (which was really nice and clean).

The showers had fantastic water pressure- we noticed that the level 3 shower was hard to adjust to a cooler temperature but if you like hot showers it’s the dream!

Near to the hostel was a 7/11, which we frequented, and a nearby Indian restaurant that was absolutely delicious and provided vegetarian cuisine, highly recommend BS kitchen for this!

The hostel has a water purifier on the bottom floor near the kitchen, which is fantastic if you find that the tap water is a bit different from where you’re from.

We would highly recommend a stay at Joe Backpackers, the staff were very warm and helpful and all the amenities were clean and as they should...

The good point from this hostel, its possible to spend the night in a room in japanese style with privacy. ||The room is tiny, but worth for the price, and for an alone person the space is good, but can be a problem for a couple.||The staff are helpful and very kind. The neighborhood is calm and quite, with facilities as convenience store, bars, some restaurants and iced drink´s machines in the street or in the hostel.||This hostel have a kitchen if You want make some meals, and a laundry that works with japanese coins. ||The train station is near of the hostel, and if you need to know some tips about shopping, locations, train schedules and other atractions, the hostel´s staff...

There is a perverted or mentally disturbed man that has been a long-time resident of this hotel, and he kept harassing us with extremely creepy behavior while we were in the public areas. I complained to the management and they basically said that I have been the only person that had a problem with him and they don't think his behavior causes a problem. ||||This place completely disregards the safety of their customers, and plus their attitude was horrible.
