Roaster BASE — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was regular here during my vacation in Japan. One night i stumbled here out of curiosity and oh boy it was pleasant surprise. Owner there is really friendly dude and speaks good english too so i felt like home. Regular customers there are really fun folks too and we had blast every evening. Friendly people, rum&shochu did it for me. If you visit or stay in minamisenju go check this place out! I am sure you will be able to make friends there like i did, it would get even better too if you can speak japanese...

This intimate bar across the street from & and hostel is a real gem. The cherries they offered with drinks were impeccable. Genki behind the counter clearly enjoyed serving, and many regular customers came in. The regulars were diverse and kind; an extremely helpful diversion for a lonely wanderer. Nearly all spoke some English, but Genki behind the bar was second only to an English-teacher regular. 10/10 would definitely...

This was a pretty underground but amazing spot. The bartender, Genki, spoke great English, joked around a lot, and even taught us how to play Japanese drinking games. We took a picture with him at the end of the night haha! We came here twice when staying in Taito and cannot recommend it enough. Come here!!! The prices are great and he knows what he’s talking about, my friends and I will miss this place when we’re back...
