In the past when I came to Okinawa, I stayed in a very convenient spot kn Naha, so I was a little concerned about the location of the Hotel Gran View Garden. That said, it does have many other features that make it a good value. The staff is very polite and helpful, and breakfast was superb. The hotel has a beautiful pool and is a just a short walk to a gorgeous beach and only a bit farther from a mall. There is also a very convenient and inexpensive laundry area near the lobby for guest use. Rooms are very small but not unlike other hotels in Okinawa. ||||My only real issue was with the lack of wi-fi in the room. In this day of technological connection to family, friends, and the world, it is a real inconvenience to have to get dressed and go to the lobby to email or Skype. When I traveled on to Koyasan, I was even more surprised to find that a Buddhist temple had in-room wi-fi while my big chain hotel did not. ||||That one problem would make me rethink staying here again, and that's a shame because overall it's a...
Read moreWe have been to Okinawa a number of times. On our last trip we decided to stay near the airport. We were pleased with this hotel because the Rent-A-Car place we used, shopping, and restaurants were all close by. Our plan came with the breakfast included. The breakfast buffet was okay, but I don't think I would have wanted to pay the ¥1200 that it costs if it was not in our plan.||||There is public bath on the first floor of the hotel. Although it was nothing luxurious, it was very nice to have and we used it both morning and night. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were of a higher quality than many of the public baths you find in Japan.||||Over all, we were happy...
Read moreThis hotel is only a few minutes walk from OTS car rental office at airport and the Okinawa outlet. At noon one day before we departed from Okinawa, we left our luggage in the hotel and returned our car at OTS after a few days trip in Okinawa. Then, we walked to shop like crazy at the outlet, have our last Ishigaki beef BBQ and pack everything we shopped into our luggage. If you forget anything, you can still have your last chance by walking to the outlet from the hotel before check-out. ||||The hotel provides free shuttle to the airport. It has beautiful view for a lovely sunset walk along the park by the ocean. Room is big. ...
