Although this hotel may have its down sides, no wardrobe space for standard 'comfort' rooms, it is not central and has a limited western breakfast, also the TV channels only seem to be in Japanese which can be enstertaining, I would stay here again and again if I were coming to Tsukuba.||It is located next to a great train station that gets you to tokyo within an hour, the japanese breakfast is good, and there are some very decent restaurants and bars right next door and less than 5 minutes walk away. The bed is very comfortable and if you are lucky enough to get on the 8th floor the bathroom is very nice. However, even if you are on other floors, there is a feeling of homeliness which means that it makes those long business trips away that much more bearable. There are also several vending machines and washing machines facilities within the hotel.||There is also a shopping centre and a supermarket less than 10 minutes away which is good, and in my opinion it is better than the shopping centre in central Tsukuba. For day trips you get go to Mount Tsukuba (Tsukuba san) which is a quick one stop on the train and a 40 min bus journey to the base. Ah - also, good wifi. and they are very helpful if you need to borrow anything, from scales to...
Read moreWe stayed 5 nights with 2 kids (7 and 4 years old). The hotel was nice and clean. It's more a business hotel, but it has got everything we need. The hotel had provided slippers and toothbrush for my kids too. About the environment, ||- There are 2 Japanese restaurants, 1 Italian restaurant and 1 bar in the hotel. ||- There are also a few Japanese restaurants close by, which provide Japanese noodles and BBQ, so you don't have to worry about food. ||- There is a laundry on the 6th floor -2 washing machines and dryer||- There is also big shopping mall (Lias) a few blocks away which is within walking distance. ||- There is a family mart at the railway station and a 7-11 a block behind the hotel. ||- There is a car rental shop at the back of the hotel||- The hotel provides free parking||- There is an electric towel dryer in the room which is very useful and considerate.||- Although the hotel locates close to railway, and our window face to it, we could hardly hear the noise when we slept.||We had a wonderful stay. If I'm going to Tsukuba again, I'll definitely stay in this...
Read moreI was in Tsukuba for a couple of days and my client suggested this hotel to me. I flew in from Narita Airport and you can reach Tsukuba via the airport limousine bus. It will take about an hour to reach Tsukuba center. Then from there, you'd have to take the train from Tsukuba station to Kenkyugakuen station. The hotel is within 2 mins walk from the station. This hotel was very comfortable and the rooms are well kept. not much space though but it's enough for me to move around. There are a number of food choices around the area. the hotel also has a restaurant. The hotel staff were very accommodating. I arrived during white day -- a day were were the men give out sweets to the ladies. it's kind of the reverse valentines day. I received the chocolates from the ladies instead. Thank you very much. I had a great stay and will definitely come...
