ホテル華翠苑 — Hotel in Ureshino

This hotel is located about 5 min drive from the waterfall park and also 5 min drive to the Daiso and supermarket . |We were greeted warmly on arrival with help to carry the luggage in and directions to park the car in the parking lot next to the hotel . |Check in was fast . |The hotel room was a western Japanese room . Amenities good . Only problem only one pillow was supplied and no mineral water given . Temperature control was not very good either . Wifi was fast . Water pressure was good . |The onsens were both outdoor and indoor . The indoor one also led to another outdoor onsen which was beautiful amidst beautifully landscaped garden and water features. |Dinner was kaiseiki style and plentiful . Breakfast was Japanese style . Cuisine wise 4/5.|The reception also had free coffee in the gift shop till 10 pm at night . Gift shop sold souvenirs , onsen shampoos . |Overall...

If you are up for the Japanese experience, you found the place. The onsen (one inside in the basement, one outside on the 9th floor) are what I found at all hotels of this type. The basement got busy in the morning whilst the roof top was fuller in the evening. ||||Other hotels don't want you to wear the traditional yukata for dinner, here it is OK. The dinner was more than 10 courses of all sorts of Japanese food. Don't expect fried chicken and crocket. Very well made from local ingredients. The same holds for the breakfast.||||The room was spacious, in good condition though not brand new.||||In Ureshino nothing is too far, but worthwhile to know it's five minutes to the bus stop...
