Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Yokohama. The hostel was in a good location steps from Noge area. Nice traditional style Japanese house, everything is very clean and lots of amenities. However, as others have stated, there are many rules. This seems to be normal for Japanese guesthouses, but some of the rules were a bit excessive (1am curfew) - at the very least this should be extended on weekends, or guests should be provided with a key or a way to get in. The 2 owners are very friendly, but you will unfortunately have to work around their schedule, and cannot be in the hostel when they are out which makes things a bit complicated sometimes and forced us to rearrange our schedule. There is nothing wrong with the hostel, it's a nice place and the owners are very friendly, just know there are many rules that may require you to modify...
Read moreStayed here during the RWC semi final for one night only.||The accomodation was super clean and all amenities are available so can’t fault any of the facilities as they were great||Arrived 2 hours early in the rain and the owner let us drop our bags off but wouldn’t let us wait in the lobby until check in.||Recommended a few places to eat at while we wait. ||Unsure if we got off on the wrong foot but we were not allowed to talk in our room at 6pm while getting ready to go out. Hair drying in the room wasn’t allowed in the morning. Couldn’t really relax and meet people. ||Curfew of 1am was a bit rough on a Saturday night during the semi final got home at 2am along with some other travellers we were let in but told to shut up. ||Not the place to stay if you are staying for a sporting event. But would be great for sightseeing or if you’re out...
Read moreGuesthouse Futareno is a lovely traditional inspired Japanese Hostel. The hostel has character, and is run by kind, amazing staff. When I checked in, Mina sat me down to make me feel comfortable, explained the rules, gave me a grand tour of the space and services and provided me with some snacks. Needless to say, even the guest are kind. This place is warm and cosy. It is a 10 minute walk from Sakuragicho station, and I promise you, whilst I only checked in for one night, I wish I had stayed for more. Mina provided me with a Noge map which consisted of recommend places of the bar and restaurant district, all with personal little reviews. I even shared the female dorm room with Eva, another staff member, who was kind and checky as she taught me a little Japanese. Thank you all for your hospitality. I will be back, and...
