Brightly lit with soothing jazz playing in the background, this ramen shop offers a seamless combination of efficiency and warmth in its service. I chose the silky noodles, and they were perfect—smooth as they glided down the throat, with just the right balance of firmness and chew. The broth was a refined soy-based blend: light and refreshing, yet enriched with the deep umami of chicken oil.

As for toppings, I used a free coupon to add bamboo shoots, but the real highlight was the smoked char siu. Its unique flavor may divide opinions, but I’d wholeheartedly recommend trying it at least once!

The shop is just a straight walk from Sakuragicho Station, about 3–5 minutes on foot. Not only was the ramen incredibly delicious, but the entire experience left me impressed. Tsuchi No Tomi Noge Honten #Sakuragicho #Yokohama

Tsuchi No Tomi Noge Honten offers a unique take on tsukemen with their special shijimi tsukemen. Shijimi are small freshwater clams, often used in soups for their delicate and slightly sweet flavor. This tsukemen features noodles that are perfectly chewy and delicious, topped with their homemade rich bonito kelp water, made from four types of kelp!

The way to enjoy it is pretty fun—first, dip the noodles in a bit of wasabi to really bring out the flavor and texture of the noodles. It's an experience full of umami goodness!

I ordered the seared duck and yuzu ramen, which was accompanied by yuzu pepper relish and dried yuzu pepper. Sublime duck flavour shone through the broth. The soup has a very bold and unctuous, yet clean mouth feel to it. I loved the delightful textural additions of the long bamboo shoot and charred spring onion batons. They provide one free noodle refill upon request.

The ordering and payment process via the machine is a bit tricky, but the helpful staff helped to counteract any challenges and provided translation cards.
