I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks. The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day.If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing.Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the...
Read moreThe staff here picked us up from downstairs bc we did not get that the front desk was at the third floor. Somehow they saw us downstairs and came straight down. When at the third floor we were welcomed with so much care. Our luggage was taken over into a cart and they checked us in with the check-in machine. We received our Breakfast coupons and keycards straight away with the most curtiosy. We felt treated like royalty.
The room has great amenities although a wide range of extra amenities are available at the third floor. There you can get a hairbrush, raisons and hairbands! Also there is a great coffee machine with hot water dispenser. And there is also an ice machine. Free of use.
The laundry machines are at the fourth floor. A wash costs 400 yen including detergent and the dryer 100 yen.
In the room I appreciated that we got bottled water. And those got resupplied each day. Bonus here are the pyamas they provided. We got fresh towels each day and the bathtub is of a regular European size! Again the staff is superb also the cleaning staff greets you a lot! Power outlets are available on the desk and near the bed. Also does the hotel provide a charger that sat in the nightstand drawer. 🛌
Top amenity here is the conditioner that smells super good!
The breakfast is served at Starbucks which has a good offer in sandwiches,...
Read moreIf you are in the Tsurumi area, this is an excellent hotel choice. It's right by two different train lines, which take you to the Shibuya area (40 min) and Haneda Airport (30min). Plenty of resturants, izakayas, shops and supermarkets right by the hotel. Hotel Mets does a deal with the fast food place downstairs for breakfast, which is included for all guests. As it is with fast food places, not the best of choices, but does the job.||||The room itself, although small, is cosy and well equipped with all the mod cons, including a speaker, air purifier, humidifier, hair dryer and trouser presser. The room was spotless. The staff do not speak much English, but are helpful. The wifi is a device which you have to plug in in order to get access. Takes a while to figure out, but once you do it all works.||||My only negative comment is that they have no compromise on the checkout time whatsoever - to delay checkout by an hour costs over JPY 4,000 - nearly half the price of the room. That said, it's not really an issue if you plan ahead.||||I would most certainly stay in Hotel Mets again if...
