MAYUDAMA CABIN — Hotel in Yokohama

Great location in Yokohama (Kannai district) and very close to the station and restaurants nearby. The staff were very smiley and friendly upon check in and gave us a very thorough explanation on the rules of the hostel! We were given towels and plenty of toiletries in a little bag each. We booked a four bed private room and were impressed with the price as it was pretty low particularly during rugby world cup season! The common room has a lovely balcony and a sitting area with a huge TV.|||| · I have to admit that we were slightly disappointed with the private room that we booked - there were four of us squeezed in to a tiny pod of four bunk beds (although the beds themselves were pretty spacious). As long as you won't forget your key in the room, you won't have any problem there :D reception is not working after 23:00 and the bedroom is locked by an electronic system, which means, if you came back late and unluckily forgot to pick up a key from your bed when going to a shower - you won't have any chance to enter the room again :D I experienced that and there was no staff to help me out. I was luckily saved by another guest, who went out for the toilet and just helped me open the door. Except for this experience, everything is absolutely neat there! Just newly opened, very clean, the most important amenities available. A pleasant time...

Close to the station, right beside restaurants & a konbini. Really appreciate the security lock to the female rooms. Check-in was simple, quick & the lady spoke a bit of English. They have an info paper in English too. Overall the place is modern & welcoming. There's tables on the 1st floor & another one the women's floor. Showers, sinks, & toilets were pretty clean. The capsule room itself is very spacious with a pull down screen. Unfortunately the fan was very weak so I was hot throughout the night.
