We stayed here during the Kamakura festival. Very well located near the train station. If you want the onsen experience with a mixed sex couple or family group, they have a ‘kashikiri’ (private bath) that can be booked by the hour for a small fee. See reception and they’ll let you know the available times. The charge will be added to your room. It was a very nice, small onsen with a view (through steamy windows) of town.||We had a regular double room which was very comfortable - large by Japan standards. The breakfast was great, lots of variety (Japanese and western style). Just don’t try wear your slippers into the breakfast room.||Staff were very nice and helpful (I have very limited Japanese - I came across no English speaking staff, but it wasn’t a problem). ||We sent our luggage here from Sapporo via TaQBin and it arrived fine - but it took an extra day than we expected as Yokote must be considered remote. Read moreThis is a great hotel for foreigners (or any business traveler). It is less than a 2 minute walk from the train station, has spacious and quite rooms and the front desk is really helpful. There is free WiFi, but the service is limited to the hotel lobby. The breakfast, if you include it in your room, ends a little early at 9am, but has a mix of traditional Japanese food along with scrambled eggs, toast and bacon (soggy, not crispy) if you prefer a more American variety. The onsens are nice and hot, one located in the first floor and one located on the 7th floor. If you like your sauna nice and hot, you're in luck; they keep their dry sauna at 88°C. Everytime I come to Yokote, I always check availability at Annex...

Great view of the city at the top floor restaurant/cafe.
For the big Onsens — the one at the ground floor is larger but older; the one at the top floor is tiny (but sufficient) but newer and cleaner. You can also book a hot bedrock bath with radium.
If you stay here, you are also eligible to discounts at several restaurants/izakayas in the same building complex (as of Nov’19) — so you don’t really need to walk/drive out if you’re tired at night. The restaurants are new, offering local ingredients, with...
