Oyado Hananoyu — Hotel in Yufu

Very spacious room with private onsen. Suitable for families as they have double bed and tatami area for futons setup. Separate toilet and bath, and even changing area attached to the private onsen, which feels like going to a sento. Onsen facing a small private garden, which will be nice if it wasnt too cold to soak. The bath area was very cold during winter, and we had to rush our shower. It was a very pleasant stay! You get a whole ryokan and of course, private onsen. I am very blessed to meet the owner, Ikeda-san. He is like a father to us 😁 He would pick you up when you arrived at the Yufuin train station, drive you to the city, and pick you back at 05.00 pm. Yufuin city’s activities mostly stopped at 05.00-06.00 pm, so you should prepare/buy your dinner at convenience store before going back to Oyado Hananoyu.

If I ever have another chance to visit Yufuin, I would definitely come back here. I wish Ikeda-san a long and prosperous life, so we can...
