Wow. This place is amazing. The front desk manager speaks English pretty well, so it was easy to communicate with him. I recommend taking the train from fukuoka to Yufuin during the winter time, as I tried to drive there with my family but couldn't make it due to the snow on the first night. We had to leave our car at Hita and take the train from Hita into Yufuin due to the weather conditions impacting the roads. Overall, Yufuin is beautiful and the onsen is amazing. The water definitely has some type of healing properties. I recommend using the private onsen, not the public onsen. The private onsen water quality was much better in my opinion (it is free to use the private onsen you just need to ask them for the private keys). The breakfast there is amazing. The service was top notch. Everyone was very helpful. The rooms were nice. We also used their massage partner service and they were great. Everything about this place was amazing and my family and I will definitely be back as we were only able to stay there for one night. I heard the dinner option there is amazing as well but unfortunately we did not get a chance to try their dinner. 5...
Read moreAs accommodation is expensive at this onsen town and this being the holiday season (week in sept), I took a chance at this two-star hotel. For the budget conscious and those, like me, who do not care much for the onsen experience, this hotel is ideal. It is five minutes from the Yufuin station. Although the room does not have the appearance of the classier hotels, it provides all the necessities, is clean and has two comfortable beds and reasonably sized. The plus point for me is the private onsen within the premise which charges 150 yen for guest’s personal use. It is better to book in advance to secure the opportunity for a soak. There is however, no lift but there is only one upper floor to climb. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are ample cafes and restaurants along the...
Read moreWe visited this nice and cosy hotel in March, we especially love the open air onsen both public and private. Service is top notch especially Mr. Aoki for his attentive service and warmness. The private onsen (Room 1) was big and nice facing the forest that gave us a healing and enjoyable session. Comfy and large twin bed , western breakfast was authentic and yummy. The whole hotel environment was great and we really have a relaxing time there. Would love to stay in this hotel again....
