Sharanoki — Hotel in Yufu

Fantastic traditional feeling rooms with modern amenities. Absolutely wonderful private hot spring bath in the room. It is a joy to lie in the bath and enjoy the nature outside the window.

The staff were very kind and welcoming.

The location is actually very nice, but because there is no food on site you either need to bring everything in, or be prepared to drive down to town. We had no trouble making food with the kettle and microwave, but make sure everything you want to eat can be done with just those.

There is no public transport to the place, so you must drive or take a taxi from the train station. The feeling of isolation is great once you are there though, and if you are OK with driving or the taxi it is well worth it.

Stunning place to stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. The forest area brings a calmness to the area. The host was welcoming and polite. Loved the private onsen. Cannot fault this stay at all. It is out of the way and will require a drive to get your food. But the best places are often a little out of reach of...

気を取り直して再び投稿致します。||||日本有数の格調高い温泉地の由布院に五千坪もの土地を所有(ご主人談)なさってらっしゃいます（なんと東京ドームの三分の一ですね！）～郊外の小高い丘に宿が建てられているので周りはのどかな田園風景が広がり人工物が一切見えません。||朝靄のかかった景色等はもう最高です。||||こちらのホームページは大層凝っていて、今の動画タイプもとても情緒があり優れていますが、以前の写真多用のものも旅情を掻き立てられる～ホームページのコンクールがあれば受賞しそうな作品でした。||そういう「お導き」があり、何年も前からいつか由布院に行けるようになれば是非ここに泊まりたいと‥期待感一杯で伺いました。||||部屋は山小屋風で簡素ながら広々しており、何より個別に絶妙な温度の温泉があるのがとても有り難い限り。||||食事は家庭料理の範疇、朝食の味噌汁と味噌漬けは美味しかったです。||こちらは玄米食がお得意のようで殆どの方がそちらを選ばれるのでしょう、白米派にはその朝炊かれたものではなく、何らかの方法で温められたものが出されました。11月中旬に伺ったのですが～今年は収穫が遅れていてお米は去年のものということでした（この点は確認済みです）。||白米希望者は少数派なので仕方ないのかもしれませんが～この時期はどちらのお宿でも艶々と輝くふっくらとした拝みたいような新米が出されるので正直がっかり致しました。||こちらにいらっしゃる皆さんにご好評の身体に良い玄米食になさった方がいいようですね。||||前回にはあえて書かなかったのですが、こちらは現金払いなんですが、宿泊費いくら、飲料費いくら等と書かれた押印のない明細書が領収書だと主張なさるのは少し残念‥||||ここは広大な自然とお宿を愛する多くのファンやシンパの...
