Buckle up because this is going to be a long but useful review. I stayed at the hotel for a month and a half, so I have a lot of things to say. I also did a different review for the Garden and Vinaigrette as they are distinct restaurants. In general, I had a good experience staying at the hotel and recommend it if you are coming to Amman. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is good. The staff at the front desk was really nice and accommodating. Every time I had a request or needed to extend my stay, they were immediately there for me, there was never any fuss. They were really friendly and provided me with great comfort during my long stay at the hotel. I received great help from all the guys at the front desk. As mentioned, the rooms are clean as they have an great cleaning staff always ready to attend to your needs. During my stay, the blind of my window broke, and it was repaired in a timely fashion. In the lobby, they have the Trattoria restaurant and lounge, which is a good area to hang out/have meetings and work. Every morning, breakfast is provided in this area. The quality is good, but it is not very diverse, and the same things are served every morning. It wasn’t a bad thing, in my opinion, but some people dislike the lack of variety. The coffee was absolutely disgusting, but that’s the only thing I would change. It’s also possible to order meals during the day/night from the hotel restaurants. The service is good, but it always depends on who’s there. In my opinion, Steve is the best worker in the hotel. My stay was considerably improved by his presence. He is very professional and attentive to every client’s needs. As for the rest of the staff, Ali is also quite nice. The manager of Trattoria is a bit rude; he was once talking on the phone the entire time of our transaction/interaction. There is also one guy who doesn’t speak English at all. He is not a bad server, but it complicates things when you need something. I understand the national language is Arabic, but there are many foreigners in the hotel, so it would be important to have staff that directly interact with the guests and have basic knowledge and understanding of English. Finally, I felt super safe at all times. Thanks for reading my review, as I mentioned, I recommend staying at the...
Read moreA hotel is a place where a person can get feeling of home away from home! We lived with family at AlQasr Metropole on 12th May 2023 and arrived at hotel by around 11 pm. To our surprise an executive room was too tiny for a 4 star hotel which was not having amenities any thing better than a dormitory. Air conditioner badly stinking and non functional telephone in the room. At day break we could open windows and have some fresh air to breathe. Spending whole night without sleep, It was a thought that taking shower will be pleasing and refreshing, another surprise in bathroom was broken hand shower.. Shortage of time did not allow us to make complain for its rectification... We thought of having good breakfast and then to proceed to our site seeing. At restaurant, staff particularly the gentleman standing to take note of room numbers from guests at about 8 am was shabby, rude and racist. He did not have any courtesy and was was a total unfit to be placed to welcome guests for breakfast. Being in hurry we left hotel at about 11 am of 13th May 2023, our tour was booked by UTA travels and we complained it to them so that other guests don't have similar experience and they can save at least reputation of UTA.
All in all 2 over 5 for one night stay and breakfast experience. We don't recommend this hotel to any traveler. Hotel management must be keen to see condition of rooms and do some training for Hussain the restaurant attendant so that he has basic ethics to deal with guests.
Please avoid...
Read moreArrived at this hotel in the early hours of the morning but check-in was friendly and efficient. The room itself was reasonably spacious, clean & quiet, but lacked any character.
The buffet breakfast selection was good, although not spectacular, but the staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in the newer business area of the city, which is quiet and a taxi journey away from the main attractions. Some restaurants are, however, within walking distance.
The restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, Vinaigrette, has a good menu and, in particular, serves excellent sushi & sashimi. The view from here is lovely too, and the service is impeccable.
Immediately to the right of the hotel entrance is AlQasr Garden, a bar/restaurant. With a 50% off ‘Happy Hour’ on selected drinks, this is a great place for a cold, draught Petra beer after a long day. This place also has a DJ most nights and has a far better atmosphere than the bar in the main hotel building.
Both AlQasr Garden and Vinaigrette offer a 15% discount to hotel guests, but bizarrely you need to collect a voucher from the hotel Reception each and every time. Surely this could be improved.
All-in-all a good hotel with great staff. ...
