Thank you for the opportunity to take this survey and share my feedback. I hope my feedback will be helpful. I enjoyed the hotel service and check in/out procedures. Room service was excellent, and room cleanliness was good. The same applies to SPA center, really felt the staff care. I rated my stay as 6 out of 10 because of 4 really disappointing events during my stay. First of all, the dinner table: we've been told that all the tables were reserved and we cannot have a dinner neither at the bar nor in the restaurant. Upon our arrival to our room, we had a call that one table is available and we can have our dinner downstairs. When we came to the restaurant, there were about 5-7 tables empty, we asked if we can have a quick dinner next to the window (2 empty tables) or in the "main" section of the restaurant - we've been told that all these tables are reserved for 20:00 (the administrator Aizhan told it to us without even checking anything, she was completely sure), it was 19:40. We refused to sit at a table (that was still unclean) with a baby running around next to us and running right on top of the sofa where we were supposed to sit. We went and had our dinner at the bar. I checked the restaurant again at 20:00 and 20:15 if all 5 tables had their 20:00 guests, they were all still empty. At 20:50 when we finished our dinner the same tables were still empty. This is a shame for a 5 star hotel like St. Regis - to "reserve" good spots for "better" clients. I can expect this type of treatment at different restaurants in the city, but didn't expect the same treatment from this hotel. Second disappointing moment - complimentary shoe polishing. At 10:20 in the morning we called the butler service and asked to polish 1 pair of shoes. The butler told us that it is highly unlikely that they can do it before our check out at 12:00. I was surprised that this cannot be done in 1 hour and 40 minutes. Moreover, there is no instruction on the note how long in advance should the guests notify the butlers about it. Very strange. The last thing that disappointed us is the valley parking service. At the arrival we've been told that there is no valley parking at the moment and i have to park my car myself. And I parked the car myself downstairs in the parking long. The path from the parking lot to the hotel via elevator was slippery and not taken care of. It's ok, survived. At the check-out we've been proposed to use the valley parking service and wait for our...

Read moreVery nice hotel, well maintained and well appointed. Amenities are all very high quality, hotel feels new and fresh. The staff is beyond incredible, super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The concierge desk would truly go above and beyond for guests needs.
We had an Ambassador suite on top floor (room 1007 for those considering getting it) and unfortunately the shower was super annoying with poor water pressure and fluctuating water temperature ranging from super hot to chilly every 10 seconds. The hotel tried to fix it but whatever they did didn’t work so we asked to change rooms only to find the other room 3 floors down, with some very questionable (I really should say nasty) carpet stains all over and working desk that looked like it was teleported there from a cheap motel (room 707, avoid at all cost). I asked to change rooms right away for the second time in a single day. Unfortunately the next room they moved us to wasn’t ready at all—the door was wide open and there were some men walking around inside (unknown both to myself and to the hotel staff member who was with me), ignoring us at the doors which made the encounter only weirder.
After that we were finally moved in to the third (!) room of the day, this time everything went fine, the room was clean, the shower working well and there weren’t any strangers inside. What a weird, weird day, but I was glad the story was over and there was no drama to it. Needless to say that the hotel staff and Senior Guest Relations Manager Aigerim specifically were all very polite, helpful and accommodating through this weird room swicharoo. It’s unfortunate the rooms were in poor shape and the room readyness miscommunications on the hotel end slipped though, but they still resolved everything with elegance and grace.
St.Regis, we cool, but to keep my review honest I have to take stars off as it for sure wasn’t a...
