Impala Suites — Hotel in Kongowea ward

The customer service at these apartments are by far the worst I’ve ever experienced, the cleaner doesn’t clean your room unless you chase them up, even then they’ll lie and say we’ll send someone up and you get back hours later and your room still a mess, also there showers didn’t work the one in the master bedroom was cold and the other one was cold and barely any water coming out, the water pressure on both was very low,

The tv glass cabinet was broken before we got to the property, we realised it on the first day, we’ve been staying there for 5days the cleaner came nearly everyday, that’s after we would chase up reception to send one up, the cleaner was fully aware about the tv cabinet,

On the last day when we was checking out, the receptionist could see we was in a rush and about to miss our flight, so she decided to accuse us of breaking glasses and demanded that we pay for it, we didn’t have time to argue as we was in a rush and was desperate to leave,

So we said ok we’ll pay it for it if u can show us the broken glasses they couldn’t show us, so she then decided to say we need to pay for the tv cabinet,

We told her that was broken before we got there and that she can ask the cleaner as she was fully aware about the tv cabinet, the receptionist could see how desperate we was to leave so we wouldn’t miss our flight,

Once are cab got there she asked the security not to let us leave, we didn’t have time to argue or wait for the manager and she could see that, so we said we’ll pay so we don’t miss our flight,

When we asked for the lipa Na M-PESA number to pay through the property, she decided to give us her number to pay it there, when I asked why her number and not through the property, she couldn’t give me a good excuse, it was broad daylight robbery and I had no choice but to pay her so I wouldn’t miss my flight, very unprofessional, very disrespectful and very poor customer service, would not recommend by far the worst Airbnb experience I’ve ever...

So sadly I was duped and welcomed very well by the reception. ||We had booked two days . First night our door lock never opened from the inside and we were promised to have rooms changed . A lie that was.. we came back to the room in the evening to only find apartment was bot cleaned. Trash cans still full. Dishes in the sink and the apartment a mess.. though we were promised that there is an daily cleaning services. || Housekeeping staff today rude and when we asked in the evening one member mentioned they dont work past 5 PM and the other that they dont clean rooms every day and have been given instructions to clean every two days.. yet in our case we had just checked in.| I would definitely not recommend the place and totally expect a form of apology and compensation for being forced to sleep in a...

If you are planning to visit Mombasa and thinking of where you can find a best and affordable accommodation then I would recommend this place for making your stay memorable its just awesome place to stay. Its has kitchen with full utensils so if you have a long stay you can cook food for yourself and save money, security is full time, house keeping every other day, if anything goes wrong they fix it immediately. The staff are really polite, helpful and supportive if you face any problem. We had a great stay and taking back memories...
