Food was decent but the dessert was better. I requested for a sundae with a choc nut bottom and a knufah top and it was lush 😍
Lunch service took over half hour for the food to arrive.
EDIT:
I am editing this review 3 days later:
I was really looking forward to Chop It Express after hearing all the hype from the UK. We tried both the Makadara and Nyali branches several times, and for the first three visits we were very impressed – especially with the Chop Nut and Knafeh fusion. Staff at both locations happily accommodated our request to combine the two, which made for an amazing experience.
However, our last visit to the Nyali branch left us completely disappointed. The supervisor at the till, Suleiman, was extremely rude from the moment we walked in – no greeting, no smile, and a very dismissive attitude. When we asked for the same Chop Nut/Knafeh fusion we had enjoyed the past three days, he flatly refused, saying “the system wouldn’t allow it.” I even offered to pay extra just to have nuts added at the bottom, but he categorically refused and continued being unpleasant.
What made it worse is that Chop It promotes itself as putting “customer first” – yet the service we received was the complete opposite. When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it until I took a photo, at which point he angrily disclosed it. That is not how a supervisor should behave, especially in a customer-facing role.
After such a disappointing encounter, I won’t be visiting again. Chop It needs to seriously review its staff training and customer service standards – and Samana, I hope you take...

Unfortunately for what it is, Chop it failed to impress.
Serving essentially sauced up chips meat and salad,it reminded me of what i used to do when i was a kid, mixing up all my dinner with tonnes of sauce and just munching it down, and maybe thats what Chop it were going for.
The place has a good attractive set up ideal for millenials and kids who go to a place mostly for its Insta value more than the food.
The potential to be something great is definitely there, but with the limited choice menu, its not for everyone.
And again for what you get in terms of chips in a box,its not worth it. Value for money is definitely lacking.
A full menu revamp would be advisable so as to cater to all generations and palettes but again maybe Chop it have a target audience that they are happy with.
Its a great location with immense potential, but for now its just not a place you can go back again and again..
P.S - the choconut shake was really good, helped it go from a 2 star to a 3 star.
I do apologise if the owners or management if they find this review harsh, but its the only way one can learn and grow which i hope Chop it does....
Read moreHello. Im at your nyali branch at the moment and the service here is really really pathetic Our food took so long and it was clear they prioritized huge take away order. Sorry but thats not even acceptable When we ordered, already the food came late She didnt bring the sauces on the side as we requested. So she went back and attended to other things probably the take aways. She didnt bring the drink on time and when we reminded her she came back saying the drinks are room temperature this happend twice! Like really! After waiting for so long for food then they come saying that. They didnt give glasses cause you dont have, when asked for a straw she went and sat down inside. Her name is Sharon and I tried to tell you on your dms but you dont seem to respond. We were just a family of 3 ordering 2 shakeshakis and your staff couldnt even manage it. Its completely upsetting because I've never experienced this in your nairobi branches. Whether its the quality of food or service or ambience. And here in nyali its the total opposite. Horrible horrible...
