Guesthouse Jane Treehouse – A Hidden Gem in Naivasha!
If you’re looking for a unique, charming, and peaceful getaway near Naivasha Town, Guesthouse Jane Treehouse is an amazing place to stay. It’s conveniently located—just a short distance from town—making it super easy to access whether you’re walking, driving, or taking a boda boda. Yet, despite being close to town, it feels like a secluded little paradise, perfect for a relaxing retreat.
Ambiance & Accommodation
The first thing you’ll notice when you arrive is the beautiful and serene environment. The houses here have a unique and creative design, giving the place so much character. We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom house that had four beds, which can comfortably fit about six guests. Whether you're a group of friends, a family, or a bunch of backpackers, the space works well! Everything was super clean, from the rooms to the beds and even the washrooms, which was really impressive.
They also have a variety of other accommodations, though we didn’t get a chance to explore them. But the highlight? The TREEHOUSE! Even though we only admired it from the outside, it looked absolutely magical—like something straight out of a storybook. If you’re looking for a stay with a twist, I’d highly recommend checking it out!
Dining & Drinks
Now, let’s talk about food! The guesthouse has a cozy and inviting restaurant, serving a variety of dishes. The food is absolutely delicious, and they have something for everyone. They also serve liquor, so if you enjoy unwinding with a drink, you’re in luck.
The only downside? The food portions were a bit underwhelming for the price. While the meals were tasty, we did feel like we could have used a little more on our plates—especially after a day of exploring. Hopefully, they can improve this because everything else about the dining experience was great!
Family & Kid-Friendly Environment
One thing I really appreciated about Guesthouse Jane Treehouse is that it’s very child-friendly! The spacious grounds, swimming pool, and calm environment make it a great spot for families with kids. There’s plenty of space for children to play, and the atmosphere is safe and welcoming. Whether you're traveling with little ones or a bigger family, this place works well for all age groups.
Amenities & Extras
One of the biggest pluses here is the swimming pool, which is open to everyone at all times! Whether you want a morning dip or a late-night swim, the option is there, which is a rare find in many places.
Another hidden gem is the sunset-watching spot nearby. If you love nature and breathtaking views (like I do), this is the perfect place to sit back and take in the beauty of Naivasha as the sun dips below the horizon.
Wonderful Stay with Friendly Hosts & Staff!
One of the best things about Guesthouse Jane Treehouse is the warm and welcoming staff. The hosts are incredibly friendly, making sure guests feel comfortable and at home. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and polite, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality adds a personal touch to the stay, making the experience even more enjoyable.
From check-in to dining, the service was great, and the staff genuinely care about guests having a good time. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed and appreciated, which makes all the difference!
Final Thoughts
Overall, Guesthouse Jane Treehouse is a fantastic place for travelers, backpackers, hikers, families, and anyone looking for a unique stay in Naivasha. It has a peaceful atmosphere, clean and spacious rooms, great food (though the portions could be better), and some really cool features like the treehouse, swimming pool, and child-friendly environment.
Would I come back? Absolutely! Would I recommend it? Without a doubt! If you're planning a trip to Naivasha, this spot should definitely be...
Read moreBefore I get into the issues that I experienced most recently, I want to let you know that I have stayed at your hotel many times over the years....and have always generally been satisfied. Indeed, one of the best features of your facility, is the excellent food prepared by Chef Peter.||||Sadly, my stay at your facility last evening (15 December 2020) was a major disappointment. First and foremost, I did not get a good nights sleep due to the following reasons:||1) The mattress in the Tembo room is old and uncomfortable||2) The mosquito net does not fit the bed and is impossible to close in order to prevent mosquitoes from buzzing one's head all night and sucking one's blood.||3) There are rats or some other vermin that are in the ceiling area near the door of the bathroom. They were scurrying and gnawing all night and kept me awake.||||Apart from that, there was no internet service whatsoever.||||To top my horrendous evening off, I got up this morning to take a shower. I let the water run for about 30 minutes and tried every setting of the faucet in order to find hot water. But to NO AVAIL. I expected a hot shower before heading off to work.||||A hotel has one major duty: to provide a comfortable facility for a guest to stay the night. All of the above made my experience very, very regrettable and I will not be back anytime soon.||||As I have stated above, I have stayed at your facility numerous times over the years and have always been satisfied, hence I sincerely hope that you will refund my payment (minus the dinner I purchased, which was excellent as always). I also sincerely hope, for the sake of your business' future, that you will address these...
Read moreThe evening meal was great! The upgrade house was great, I wished we could stay there for that extra night. They need to advertise this more than the treehouse. The staff are quite friendly as well.
The treehouse is not ideal for couples as the beds are too tiny and if you have any toddlers, it would be disappointing. The staircase to the treehouse is quite unsafe, too inclined I would say for even an adult to climb. There is only a small space with a toilet with no bath and you have to use the shared facility downstairs for a bath. I would recommend the treehouse for teens or people who love outdoor spaces, people seeking adventure such as those who want to camp not for someone who wants a good weekend rest away from the busy hustle of work!
Never the less they have other guest houses within the same compound and you can upgrade to stay in these. If you need a peaceful rest try the main house, its is well done and I loved the interiors made of wood and the simplicity is great! They have a kitchen facility and those who would love to have long term stays can use these are they can cook...
