I have rented apt 2, ground floor, for the entire month of Nov 2023. Besides the monthly rent, they asked for a 30k KES deposit to cover for electricity. It seemed very high as I rarely spent more than 10k a month in Kenya, but I trusted and paid. MISTAKE. After numerous messages, I finally managed to get a refund of 11k KES over a month after I left.
