Gramo Suites Serviced Apartments in Nairobi — Hotel in Nairobi

I've stayed at Gramo Suites a few times on business, and have been put in the same room (Ruby 5) each time, which is basically a super-small efficiency. It might be a decent option for someone who wants the kitchenette to cook in, but it results in a ridiculously small space to 'live'. There's no couch or comfortable seating (just a few awkward bamboo chairs meant to eat in front of) and the bed is behind a bookcase - so it creates a VERY cramped feeling and is not a place you'd want to work or spend any time beyond sleeping. I also found it very loud (this was other residents). Although it's close to my office and they put us there with the idea it's in walking distance, it's not close to much of anything, meaning you're kind of stuck with eating at their on-site restaurant, which is perpetually undergoing construction. The reception and wait staff at the restaurant are incredibly nice, but the food is incredibly and perpetually salty. So, I'd say it's a tolerable place to spend a night or two (it is clean and in a safe area of Nairobi), but as soon as I learned that I don't have to stay at Gramo Suites when traveling to NBO for work, I decided I will not be staying there on...

I rarely write reviews but I want to advise everyone against staying at this place. While it looks nice and fancy “from the outside”, all the basics including cleaning, wifi, laundry and even electricity have been a mess. When we checked in, the apartment was super dirty with long hairs leftover in the kitchen and bathroom. When our laundry was picked up to be cleaned, we didnt get it back for almost a week, and my friend got someone elses clothes. It was only after asking to speak to the manager that her own laundry was returned. We have had non-stop issues with the WiFi. From Wednesday night, it hasn’t worked for the whole building, with the staff informing us that it will “return by Sunday”. Then the final straw - tonight at 9pm, a paper was slit under my door. This paper stated that tomorrow (a Saturday) from 9am-5pm, there will be no electricity.. At this point I can only laugh because this place is such a joke, but one thing is for certain: I’m never ever...

For me personally, I was super satisfied in every bit. I slept and ate like a king. Even when we were late for breakfast the service time still served us a super delicious english breakfast with juice, tea or coffee. The gym was perfectly installed and equipped. Unfortunately the water of the swimming pool was quite cold. Am also amazed of the housekeeping service: very polite and exact, our room was alsways perfectly well tidied up and cleaned up!||I would recommend Gramo Suites to alp of my friends! And I'd choose Gramo Suites again...
