成都印象饭店 (Chengdu Impression) — Restaurant in Nairobi

Personally the food was not so bad, really chinese, and the food was probably 4 stars. Just a bit of stomach ache after the food maybe because of being too spicy? Im not sure. However the real problem is that the service was really really terrible. The owner could not speak english and only knew chinese so communication was really difficult (which isnt a problem). The real problem is that the waiter tried to scam us. They told us that we took 5 beers but we clearly knew we took 3 beers. They tried to scam more than $6 and so we had to argue and tell them to call the owner (which they didnt). Anyways it was a disaster. Service was good and timely. They have the option of ordering from the kitchen (off the menu) or hot-pan style, where you prepare the food for yourself at the table. We ordered off the menu and the food was tasty but a bit more greasy than was desired. Came here directly after international flight craving some Chinese food. Got to the restaurant past 9pm and the kitchen closed since there was no other guest, but they were so nice and chef offered to cook for us since there’s no other restaurant close by!! Chef quickly cooked us what we ordered and everyone else stayed later to serve us🥲 so touched by how nice they are and of course I have to mention that they serve authentic Chinese food and food was certainly outstanding!
