Karen Inn & Suites — Hotel in Nairobi

So we got scammed unfortunately. Starting with the positives: the interior of the rooms look great. the breakfast was excellent. the most of the staff were friendly enough.

Negatives: We got a room with a jacuzzi, which was an extra 4000 KSH at least. It didn't work at all. They did not have the hot water capacity and the jets on the tub didn't work. Then our power went out. We called the front desk and they quickly came to switch our rooms. The other equivalent room was also without power, so they moved us to a downgraded to a smaller room that did have power. This room was fine except their (smaller) tub with jets also didn't work.

The main issue for me is that we got downgraded to a smaller room (listed at ~8600 KSH) and they charged us for the more expensive room (13700 KSH). They even lied and said they were equivalent rooms, when it was clearly smaller and did not have a jacuzzi. So anyway, we...

I stayed for one night after arriving from the UK on the BA flight with my son and my niece. We had booked 3 standard single rooms. I was upgraded to a superior room on arrival. The staff were very welcoming and helpful which was especially good after the long flight. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The showers were hot and worked well and the inclusive buffet breakfast was extensive - fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, cereals, eggs, sausage, beans, toast, etc. I would definitely stay here again. The only challenge we had was that 2 of the rooms were in the eaves of the property which meant you needed to duck to avoid...

I stayed here for over three weeks on a work trip. The hotel is tucked away just off the main road and is very nice and quiet. It has a beautiful garden. The food is really delicious, and the hotel has a full espresso machine; I recommend the cappuccinos! I had to self-isolate here during the trip, and the staff were so good as to bring food to my room every day and to call me frequently just to check how I was doing.
