TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Booked this venue to have a birthday dinner for family. THIS VENUE HAD NO POWER AND NO BACKUP GENERATOR. In the food menu the ONLY starter available was the cauliflower soup. RED FLAG! π© We ate in darkness as even the lighting they provided was not adequate. The restaurant management also did not seem concerned about the no-electricity situation which was very annoying as the local pubs next door had electricity as normal. Also, at some point the restaurant was filled with smoke possibly because the extractor fans in the kitchen were not working and it was too dark to see the smoke in the air. (They later opened the windows). Their stairs are also extremely unsafe under such circumstances. The wait staff also seemed overwhelmed with the electricity situation and service was slow. After we finished dinner we couldnβt even cut the cake at the restaurant because of the very uninviting venue we found ourselves in. π‘
Yesterday Sierra should have shut down. You canβt operate from such a limited position. Very unfair for your customers. Whoever the manager on duty at night was on 20th September, you have failed.
If youβre planning an hosting an event pls steer clear of this place. They single-handedly messed my lovely plans. The birthday girl couldnβt even tell if we were in a local or a top tier restaurant- yesterday it was neither.
Sincerely, Disappointed...
Β Β Β Read moreI discovered this place on IG and took my family there for an early dinner. We arrived starving after having attended a full day function and ate starters, mains AND dessert! None of the above courses disappointed!
For starters we had: oxtail bruschetta (an unexpected one and great for a meat lover) sailfish bruschetta (a bit too fishy tasting for me) the squid (a lovely selection for a seafood lover and has a killer sauce) and the chicken wings (Best order! stole the show by FAR ππ)
For mains we had: sirloin steak with an added pepper sauce (so tender and juicy! Best order! ππ) pepper steak (also slapped but my mum ordered this FULLY well done and had to send it back to get recooked to her temperature preference) the Frenchie burger ( it was so good! The burger bread though ... Didn't hold together so it became hard to eat) the fish and chips (another killer one!! And with an amazing tartare sauce)
For dessert we shared: sticky toffee pudding (stole the whole meal away! Best order!! ππ Perfect for a sweet tooth) amarula ice cream (the amazing bed of crumbled chocolate and mousse!! SOOO good!)
All in all, a great experience! Service was awesome! A bit empty but it was a Wednesday at 4pm so it's to be expected. Could use more comfortable seats and some more ambient design but fabulous spot for a...
