The Venue Bar and Bistro — Restaurant in Nairobi

The Country Thursdays event yesterday was GREAT, but my night was ruined by a violent altercation that management failed to address. A guest, later revealed to be related to the owner’s wife (Rosemary) /ex-wife - shoved, elbowed, bit me, tried to smash my glasses, and even attempted to hit me with a bottle. It was made clear that she’s been in such situations before and deems herself untouchable from this connection.

Multiple witnesses confirmed I was the victim, yet no action was taken (absurd huh). When I suggested reviewing CCTV to the bouncer who wanted to take action (he was trying to pass me off as the instigator/ assailant), a relative of the owner dismissed it with, “So what, and you do what with it?”

It’s disturbing that violence is tolerated simply because of personal connections. All patrons deserve safety and fairness, not to be at the mercy of nepotism. I have pictures and a video of the said people, happy to share should management want to...

The Venue Bar is the latest addition in Karen. The music is spot on 👌 please make sure you order the burger 🍔 had mine well done. It was moist and well seasoned.

The Beathogs band kept us entertained with some cool upfunk tunes.

I highly recommend the Venue bar. Located at the Karen crossroads mall next to the Quick mart so very convenient.

Service is prompt and the staff are very attentive and warm.

Decor was definitely well thought of and my favourite spot is the snug area, very cosy.

Mimoh is a Gem. Definitely an asset to the company.
