Marigold Guest House — Hotel in Majengo ward

I WOULD GIVE ZERO RATE IF IT WILL BE POSSIBLE I came to this hotel literally an hour ago. I asked one of the guys for price - 1night, 1 room, 2 people. He said KES 2,000 even that they promote the room for KES 1,600 online. When I was already in the room I mention that my boyfriend is coming later, the guy told me that the price for 2 people is KES 2,500. I showed him on my phone that online for 2 people they have price KES 1,600. I told them I can even book it online for this price but I was willing to pay KES 2,000 right there in cash. The manager told me I should either pay KES 2,500 or leave. I am really discussed by this behaviour especially coming from manager. SAVE YOURSELF TROUBLE AND DON’T BOOK...

We were arrived here very early in the morning and welcomed warmly by the security personnel and just what we needed after travelling for 9 hours. ||||The large size twin bed were superb, well lit with clean warm showers, even though we had to look for own breakfast since the guesthouse doesnot have a restaurant. The security personnel were helpful to find us a nice restaurant. ||||Wifi access is available at the reception area. We chose this accommodation due to its close proximity to the Mombasa - Nairobi bus station; Mash, Modern Coast, Bus Car, Simba Coaches all are within walk-able distance||||Hope to stay...

This place had the worst infestation of BED BUGS that I have ever come across. There were far too many for this to be a new or recent problem. We killed at least 20, many of them freshly full of our blood. We stayed in room 2 and had to be moved at 1 in the morning because they were crawling all over us and the bed when we turned on the lights. I’ll say that the security guard didn’t hesitate to move us rooms and the next room was thankfully bed bug free, but judging by how bad the infestation was I can’t imagine we were the first people to complain which means it’s not...
