Mateus Boutique Hotel - Lebanon — Hotel in Ghazir

This hotel used to be one of my favorites in Jounieh, however unfortunately it has taken about 100 steps backwards with the quality of service and overall comfort of stay. My husband and I stayed there recently for 20 days and I couldn't wait to leave by the end of it. Below are some of the let downs of our stay:

Towels in the bathroom are worn out and have all kinds of stains on them. This was a major let down as fresh towels is the least thing to expect at a 4 star hotel.

House keeping would constantly forget to place fresh towels in the room.

I had to shower with cold water about 4 times during my stay because they forgot to turn the hot water on.

At the lobby, I was once greeted with one of the Male employees smoking a cigarette at the check in desk.

The lobby smelled like cigarettes many times.

House keeping did not do a good job cleaning the floors of the room.

The room did not meet expectations in terms of cleanliness. The room cleaning service neglected to clean the floors, focusing solely on changing the bed covers, which were also not very clean or refreshing.

Zein, in fact, proved to be extremely supportive to all the staff members present at the site; his performance was truly exceptional.
