Greta — Hotel in Druskininkai

Avoid! ||What you see and read on the website does not exist in reality. I stayed at Greta from May 16 to 22, 2023. There is no breakfast. There is no individual or community kitchen either. There is a small microwave oven in the corridor perched on a small cabinet with a kettle on the top of it plus the fridge. That is all. ||The house and the room interior is of a very poor design. No bedside cabinets, no bedside lamps. No coffee table or any table in the room, just a very small shelf like cabinet propped against the wall and two chairs, for which there is no space. The room is filled with a double bed and a large sofa with only a tiny crack of space between them.||||The showroom equipment is poor. The shower is broken. The hand shower is half-useful with a lukewarm water and a lazy flow coming out of it. The shower stand is of poor quality. The threshold between the shower room and the shower cubical is very high, about 30- 40 cm. The cubical plastic is slippery with no safeguard and support provided. You risk to break your neck stepping into the shower. The impression is that the room and the shower room were equipped with what came from the back of the lorry. ||There is no room for proper hooks to hang your towels. The towels are of appalling quality. The laundry drying rack for your smalls is fixed so high that you cannot reach it even if you are 6 feet (1.82 m) tall.||There is black fungus growing in the córners of the shower cubical.||||One night a fight broke out in the house. One of the guests, a drunken man was attacking a woman. Rape? The screaming was hellish. The woman managed to escape. I spoke to the cleaner in the morning, no one else was available. She was neither surprised, nor moved. She took the incident as a normal course of events, as these guests went to a night club the night before, she said. So what else can you expect?||||The epitome of the house is its front staircase. It is made of a bright highly polished stone. You can look and see your reflection in it almost. My impression was that this staircase was installed to impress as well as to reassure the house guests. With the staircase like that the rest of the crap they would have to deal with in the house, does not really matter. ||||Greta house is located across the bridge from the town. The bridge is over Nemunas river. It is busy with traffic and covered in the clouds of petrol fumes. It is not a...

Pros: location, nice surroundings, room interior, food during breakfast, free parking and wifi (which was good compared with other hotels), ||||Cons: very small room and bathroom, no proper place to dry wet towels (they haven't dried or been changed), hotel doesn't supply shampoo, hair dryer was old and had smoky smell. The entrance door of the hotel makes squeaky sound which is annoying (especially, when your room is next to it)||Dinner was below average. Starter was really tasty but that's it. Main course was served with frozen vegetables, meat was overcooked and just bad in general. Dessert hadn't taste bad but hadn't looked enjoyable.||||Overall, the price is a little bit too high for what you get. Definitely there are...

MINUSES: it was hot day, and it was really impossible to stay in room. we had to be till 2 o'clock outside, that finally we could feel ok in room. thousands of spiders, and not possible open window because of mosquitos. The very big minus is that there is no air conditioning. and the baby bad was broken so we couldnt use it. ||Other moment is that i am sure they knew that it will be very hot on this side of building, but they gave this room anyway (even they saw we with small baby and hotel was almost empty) ||PLUSES: The price is very good, keeping in mind about great location near aquapark. there is free coffe and fridge...
