I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pusu Paunksneje in Palanga on a family trip in early fall 2024, and it exceeded all expectations. Nestled among the serene pine forests, this charming hotel offers the perfect blend of respite, comfort, and exceptional service. ||||Location: The hotel's location is simply idyllic. Just a short walk from the bustling center of Palanga, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and quiet, it provides an ideal base for exploring the area. The proximity to the beach is a huge plus, and the surrounding pine forest adds to the tranquil atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation. There are easily walkable and flat trails nearby which is nice for walking, running, or biking. ||||Facilities: The hotel offers a range of excellent amenities, from a well-maintained outdoor terrace to a lovely spa area for unwinding after a busy day. We especially appreciated the peaceful outdoor seating areas, which were perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or simply lounging and soaking in the atmosphere. While the outside look has a more woodsy feel, the rooms were very modern and well decorated with all the enjoyable touches of a high end spa-centric hotel: slippers, bathrobes, towel warmer, complimentary bar items, turn down service/chocolate, daily attendant, and so many other small touches to list! Props to the design and housekeeping teams. ||||Service: The service at Pusu Paunksneje was outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. From the check-in process to offering recommendations for local attractions, the hospitality was warm and personalized, making us feel right at home.||||Dining: The breakfast was a highlight of our stay – a delicious and varied spread with plenty of fresh, local options. We enjoyed eating as a family on the covered outdoor patio and the service from Viktor/Vytautas and Tomas was amazing and on point each morning. The emphasis on quality ingredients and a range of options, including fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes, set the perfect tone for the day. As it was early September, some mornings were chillier than others and the outdoor space heaters were a great touch! The on-site restaurant also offered a selection of chef-curated dishes, all of which were beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our family favored the bar seating for the majority of our 5-day stay. What can I say 🤷♀️🥂||It was my 27th birthday during our stay at Pusu. Žygimantas and his team did not miss a beat — they ensured that every detail was attended to and that I felt celebrated throughout the day and night. I had an amazing morning by having a deep tissue massage by their in-house masseuse (I believe her name was Ona/Ana). After a day in Palanga, we had a beautiful, candlelit birthday dinner as a family and it was one we will never forget! Žygimantas and Tomas served us an exquisite 4-course meal including a delightful dessert tower which I loved every minute of! ||||Such an amazing and memorable stay in Palanga! Žygimantas Sabonis runs a great establishment and every request is attended to with grace. The hospitality-first mindset and welcoming attitude of the team were highlights for us. Our needs were often anticipated ahead of time and acted on. We felt relaxed and cared for, which truly made for a great family vacation in the shoulder season. This stay was the little bit of respite we needed during a busy 2 week trip from the U.S to explore the homeland with our Mociute. We greatly appreciated how easy it was for her to get her walker around the property and to her room on the ground level. I point this out because she is 92 years old, so she is proof that this hotel is great for all ages. It is a great option for Palanga’s annual “Silver Week,” a week of events for the age 65+ crowd. ||||Overall Experience: Pusu Paunksneje is a true gem in Palanga. It provides the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience, with exceptional service and an unbeatable setting. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base to explore the local area, this hotel ticks all the boxes. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palanga as a family/group, couple, or solo. I look forward to returning soon — I hear New Year’s Eve and summertime are...

Read moreThis is def not a 5* hotel, for the money do not tecommend as it is inadequate for the quality and service you get. The hotel room we stayed was a family room. The room and bathroom was wear out and outdated. There are cracks in the bath and it felt it needs some refurbishment. Fireplace is unsafe to use, especially if you saty with children as it has no glass or bars in front of it. Because of fireplace room smells funny. Our child accidentaly dropped one of lamps in the room and hurt head, the housekeeping did not take the lamp away or clean the broken pieces away, but just left it in the room as a trophy for the rest of oit stay. This was ridiculous. Hotel, restaurant and room we stayed was absolutely not kids friendly, as the interior is unsafe for small kids and you have to keep an eye on every move. At least they got a high chairs for babies in the restaurant and kids menu also available. No play area for kids at all. The restaurant- overrated and overpriced. Food was ok, but nothing special really, quite avarage. Cappucino served was terrible. The breakfast can be chosen by menu. First morning we had to wait with small child 20min for the food to arrive. Staff is friendly and polite, except one housekeeping lady, who came with angry face in our room like i owe here something. There was some event held while our stay, so someone from reception approached us on our way asking if we can park our cars elsewhere. We found it inappropriate as we were on our holiday and did not want to waste our time parking cars around premises just because hotel feels other guests are more important than our peace. Spa always booked, no chance to get there, also lady could not tell on the phone of and when any appointment available for Saturday. As restaurant tables and relax area is just in inner yard of the hotel and room we stayed in faces that yard, evening time was quite noisy with people dining and being loud and music, something not great when you travel with small kid. Overall this hotel was absolute disappointment, would not stay here again as the quality and service you get for that price is...
