Camping Martbusch — Hotel in Berdorf

We stopped here for a night in one of their camping Pods; more Glamping than camping...||||Finding the site was easy (although there weren't too many signs on the road it has to be said...) and check in was quick and simple.||||The Pod was clean and came with sheets already fitted to the beds as well as table and chairs for the decking; also supplied is a heater/radiator and a hot plate. Internal space is limited and cars are parked away from the Pods in a car park 100m away - not that this is a problem. Our Pod kept a perfect temperature throughout the night (lovely and cosy) and didn't need the heater at all. Our Pod had electric lighting inside and over the porch area plus 4 electric sockets that made charging phones simple. Our 2 young boys loved the Pod so much they now want one for our garden...||||There's plenty of things to do on and around Camping Martbusch; children have an excellent play area to occupy them whilst the more adventurous can head off into the woods and gorges that surround the camp site.||||Facilities are excellent and were always clean; you will need your credit-card style key to make the showers work though...||||A night-time curfew means everyone (young and old) gets a good night sleep.||||We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will certainly be back again, we'll Glamp it again because the Pod was so...

All site facilities were clean and tidy and freshened up during the day. Campsite was well maintained and there was also a freezer avsilable for campers. There was also a locked fridge but no info on access. staff were friendly enough but didnt go above and beyond and not exactly helpful. If your looking for walking or climbing holidays the location is perfect!

When we went there was a disruption from weekend campers and it is used a lot by families with the associated noise risk. If you are expecting a nice quiet campsite then be aware it might not happen. Management appeared to do nothing to enforce quiet times.

Please be aware that some pods you are unable to park by. The biggest issue is that there is not enough parking for cars across the campsite. Alternative options park on the road off site. For a campsite this is ridiculous and there is no warning about this on the website. We would not have booked.

Wifi is patchy through the site at best went through several days not able to access it, even at main block and this is unreliable! Be aware there is a fire pit by the pods which is not clear on the website. If used badly and wrong wind direction the smoke fills the pods. Of course on lovely summer evenings this results in doors having to stay closed even in the heat of the summer making the pods uncomfortable...
