Marriott group, but the hospitality services totally opposite. Looks like the staff is untrained, rude and adamant.
on internet they promote themselves as a “city view room” or “airport view room”. I must mention here there are lot of conditons to it. Even though they will take 129-159 euro from you, they will not offer their best rooms. Second, the city view rooms actually have no view. The view is of the airport parking. Airport view room, will have another view of the underground airport parking. Rest, there are some rooms with no privacy as infront of those rooms, there are offices.
No water bottle! Despite of the hefty amount they take the SERVICE STANDARD is zero. There is no fridge, no water bottle, no utensil, water heater or anything of use. Its just a bland room which you get.
No telephone in the room. So lets suppose the room catches fire, you are gone, you cant call the reception.
In attentive behaviour: the property manager also helps in cooking some juices or foods, so precisely they are running this hotel with limited staff.
The less understanding of the property manager (Aavi, who is present on the reception). When i went to pay him the tariff of my room, he offerred me the card machine. I walked to the machine, offered him the card, and woah! I kept on offering him the card thrice. But he used my prefed card of the application, without even asking me. This is ridiculous!!! Please train your staff some hospitality! He charged my INR CARD instead of the forex card (which i offerred him). When i asked him what you did and why?? He said because I was not aware about it. I said you are sitting in an international airport hotel and you are not aware about it?
There is more to write. But seriously this experience was not expected from a Marriott group hotel! Writing this review sitting in their room...
Read moreI recently stayed one night at the Moxy Hotel in Luxembourg and would like to share my impressions. I realize now that I may have had somewhat high expectations, partly because the hotel is a Marriott partner, which I assumed would guarantee a certain level of quality.
Starting with the positives, the hotel was very clean, and the staff made a genuine effort to be friendly and helpful. The location near the airport was convenient, and my room was relatively quiet despite this proximity.
However, for the price of €160 per night, I was rather disappointed by several aspects. The room lacked basic amenities such as a wardrobe and even a bottle of water, which to me, especially after a hot summer day, seemed quite unusual—something I found hard to imagine even in budget hotels elsewhere. When I needed to make a reservation change, it was challenging to reach the hotel manager, who was unavailable for about half an hour.
Additionally, there were no useful utensils in the room except for a single glass I found in the bathroom, which was unexpected. The breakfast offering was quite limited, mainly consisting of eggs, bacon, boiled sausages, some sweet items, and coffee, which felt rather sparse for the price.
To conclude, I would recommend this hotel only for a short overnight stay near the airport, rather than a longer visit. My impression is that the hotel appears primarily designed to accommodate guests for brief stays connected to airport travel.
I hope this feedback helps future travelers in...
Read moreGreat Location & Setup, but Significant Service Shortfalls. My stay at Moxy Luxembourg had a mix of positives and negatives. The hotel is strategically located near the airport, making it highly convenient for travellers. The overall setup of the hotel is designed thoughtfully, with dedicated spaces for families and guests to interact, including various game boards and activity areas, fostering a lively and engaging atmosphere.
However, the biggest downside was the noticeable lack of staff and service quality. The same receptionist responsible for check-in was also tasked with setting up meals, which meant that attention to detail for food service was not prioritised. This led to basic breakfast essentials being missed, and overall guest needs not being properly addressed.
While the hotel's design encourages social interaction and a modern experience, the service gaps overshadowed the positives. Staffing shortages and improper allocation of responsibilities resulted in a frustrating experience where essential aspects of hospitality like meal preparation and customer service felt overlooked.
I appreciate that the management acknowledged these concerns in their response, and I sincerely hope they implement meaningful improvements. Without addressing these service shortcomings, the hotel risks disappointing guests who come expecting a well-rounded experience.
Would consider returning only if notable improvements are made in staff availability and...
