13/jul/2025. When I ordered I got asked about the drinks, and told both the young woman and the young man with glasses that I didn't need drink since I had a bottle of water. The young man with glasses came in the middle of my meal and told me I cannot drink that, I asked why and he told me to speak french (which sadly I know very little). Since the start the young man with glasses was incredibly rude to me but after the water incident he turned up a notch. He started staring at me the whole meal (yet he didn't explain to me why I couldn't drink my water, even when ordering I told him "no drink thanks, I've got a bottle of water with me").
When I finished I went to explain the lady that it was okay if outside beverages were not allowed, but that I told them before hand and they had no issue and gave me no heads up. She was very sweet and understanding to be fair, and then explained me.
When I was walking out the young man with glasses kept staring at me and when passing by he called me "cochon". As far as I know the only meaning for that is pig. I find it inadmissible that someone working at an airport restaurant acts like that. I would love to file a complaint about the young man with glasses but I don't know how much time it would take or where to go and I don't want to miss my flight.
He was extremely kind towards the french speaking customers, his animosity was only towards me and the bottle incident was just the straw that broke the camel's back
The place is well lit and plenty of space. They didn't have like 25% of the dishes on the menu, and the menu wasn't that big. The food was fairly decent, like 6-7/10. Not that bad at all for an airport restaurant. Pretty expensive tho, in Luxembourg you can eat way more savory things for that...
Read moreMassive disappointment with member of staff ( Sun 06/10/24, time between 9-10am). I wanted to take couple of pictures with my baby and planes in the background for a crèche project but apparently (according to staff) you are not meant to take any photos of the tarmac in public space. I was willing even to buy a coffee just to get some photos. He went mental at me and tried to even push me out from the restaurant by force! Threatening me with police and security! I left and went to ask security and airport reception if it's okay to just take some quick pictures and leave. They said it's not a problem and I'm allowed to do it. I found this member of staff very rude especially when with a small baby, shouting and threatening me with police! Unbelievable behaviour! I have been in this restaurant (eating, drinking coffe, etc) on many occasions (always good experience) but this was something else. Maybe he had a bad day or something but some type of politeness would be nice. No complaint...
Read moreI was very disappointed with my visit to Oberweis. From the start, the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. I was told to put away the water bottle I was holding, which felt unnecessary and rude. For a place that presents itself as a high-end restaurant, I expected professional service. Instead, if you don't look like you're dressed for wealth, you're ignored, treated with disrespect, and even subjected to unfunny jokes. The atmosphere felt more about appearances and money than genuine hospitality - the staff seemed more like gold diggers than service professionals. Sadly, the food didn't make up for the poor treatment; it was average at best. *the one with the least hairs was the only guy there at the time (besides the ones in the kitchen). They also escorted a woman for wanting to see the planes from the windows. And the bread tastes terrible Definitely not worth the hype...
