Read moreFollow the signboard for Hotel N °5 from Jalan Lintas. The Inn is right at the intersection about 500m from Jln Lintas with conspicuous signboards. It is actually a homestay converted into an inn.
Pros - - Nicely painted and decorated room, good curtains, green glass windows almost to the floor, nice small cushion chair, dressing table with mirror, thick white towels, thick blanket, nice floor without smelly carpet, standing hat and clothes rack instead of closet and hangers, electric kettle and a glass. Hot shower has a strong pressure. Sliding stained glass door for bathroom with translucent top glass panel that provides some light during the night if bathroom light is kept on. Kitchen in common area can be used to cook over a gas stove. Fridge is available in kitchen. Shoes must be taken off and kept in the locker outside the reception entrance. The key is provided. Night security guard who closes the two gates at 12 midnight. 8 parking lot inside the premises and outside parking is possible. Good sound proof rooms. Free WiFi is provided but I didn't use it.
Cons - - TV doesn't work, water leaking under the sink, narrow toilet which has a slight funny odor, mosquitoes fly in through open toilet window into the room (but I found a mosquito mat repellent in the drawer), pillows are too hard to sleep on, the wall lamp is out of order, no lift to first and second floor, receptionist is mostly absent even at 2pm check in time and 12pm check out time. She was in the office but there's a bell to call. Some air conditioners are old fashioned without remote control and emit a buzzing sound but its not a big problem.
Overall it is a nice place to stay for a night or two, away from the city center. It is close to the Boulevard hypermarket down the main road with lots of...
Read moreRun away ! They are thieves. The worst experience of all my trips. The day before, we reserved a room for one night. We confirmed our arrival at 11 p.m. via Booking and once there the receptionist informed us that our reservation was canceled because we did not answer a phone call. However, I have proof on my phone that my arrival was confirmed by the establishment and that no cancellations were made. I did not receive any calls. Unable to book on site again via Booking, they blocked the possibility of doing so and offered to take the same room identically for 3 times the price I normally paid !! Ashamed and obnoxious manager or boss on the phone letting me know that I'm paying or I'm leaving. I had to go looking for a hotel when it was 11pm. Never...
