Eight Days Boutique Hotel @ Impian Emas — Hotel in Iskandar Puteri

We checked in the hotel as a family.||||Upon entering the room, what welcomed us was a pungent and irritating smell. We then complained and the hotel personnel sprayed some air fresher just to pacify us.||||We then noticed the room was dusty and the walls as well as the lights were full of cobwebs (as shown in the pictures uploaded). Despite our complaint, the house keeping absolutely failed to take any action.||||We then went out for dinner and came back to take shower at around 9.00 pm. It was then we discovered that the hair & body shampoo dispenser was almost depleted.||||I tried to use the room phone to call the house-keeping but it was malfunctioned. So I had no choice but to walk out of my room to the front desk to request for replenishment of the shampoo.||||The only staff at the front desk who only stared at the monitor in front of him was apparently watching his favourite online show and could not even bother to look at me.||||At first I requested for extra pillows for my children. The staff just answered it was "out of stock". That was of course hilarious as so far I had never heard any hotel running out of pillow.||||When I asked him whether he could help to get some from other empty rooms for our use tonight first, he also refused by saying that all rooms were full. However, when I checked in I clearly noticed some of the rooms were vacant and not occupied. Obviously he was not willing to help.||||I then requested for the shampoo, to this the staff told me that the hotel's house-keeping only worked until 7.00 pm and so he also could not do anything.||||I asked him whether he can call the house-keeping to come back to the hotel to solve the issue as my whole family needed to take shower badly. His answer was again negative and he said we can only do was to wait, i.e. wait till the next morning for the house-keeping to come and fill up the shampoo in the room.||||It was absolutely preposterous as the staff was extremely unhelpful and merely trying to push me away so he could concentrate on his online show again.||||When I insisted, he then reprimanded me by saying that I should have checked whether the shampoo was running out at the time of checking-in, not now (after 7.00 pm) when their house-keeping already went back home.||||I told him that was the hotel's problem, not ours, as other hotels all have their house-keeping working round the clock to serve the guests. It is really unreasonable and irresponsible of the house-keeping to cease after 7.00 pm where the guests still stay in the hotel after such time.||||After hearing what I said, the staff then told me, "This is a budget hotel, you don't expect us to be a 5-star hotel!".||||So this is how they value, and belittling, themselves.||||At the end upon my insistence the staff reluctantly called the house-keeping and procured the hard-earned shampoo for my family.||||But such a hotel, full of dust, dirt, faulty equipments, shoddy house-keeping and low level customer service, is really not worth any...

The male receptionist was very ignorant. A plumping job was in progress till 3.45am causing me to lose my sleep. Loud voices too. Overall its not even worth the money. During my checkout, the receptionist told me that they can't find my miti and travelling documents which they took for verification on my first day of checking in! It seems they have misplaced it. Beyond the looks, the room was incredibly functional. The a/c was perfectly efficient, keeping the room at an ideal temperature throughout my stay. As someone who relies on connectivity, the internet connection was a dream, consistently fast and reliable for both work and streaming!
