M+ Boutique Hotel (M Plus Hotel) — Hotel in Iskandar Puteri

Booked this hotel via Hotel.com. The pictures online look spacious and the matching the S$56 for a deluxe room with twin beds and a window view to city/street. The only strange thing is that its pricing is the same of a 4-star hotel nearby which included breakfast. And I think that should have been a good warning sign but I ignored. ||||The check in confirms that this venue is not manned by professional hotelier as the counter staff gave me a double bed room that is cramped and I recall I saw that pricing is less online and it was just a standard room. It took about 10-minutes to change the room back to Deluxe. The design of the room was quite bad, distance between the beds and the wall (with mounted TV) is so narrow that one has to be be mindful passing. The so-called window with a view is actually facing a opposite block of building. and for privacy reason, curtain has to be drawn at all time. ||||The toilet cum bath room is of course expected to be cramped and the drainage of the water below the shower is quite unsatisfactory as my feet were submerged in stagnant water waiting to be slowly drained. ||||For that price I paid, I could have gotten a far better...

comfortable room and toilet+ super value for money. We stay only one night upon arriving at Johor as its only to rest and sleep. We reached late, so thought it would be cheaper to book here. This is just a tip for those who are travelling with tight budget+ got breakfast spot nearby. Mamak stall which open 24hr, so its convenient + 15min away from Legoland- shower abit hard to switch from the pipe mode to shower moe- iron has burnt mark which need to be careful. I would suggest hotel to change to steam iron- outside parking area has bad smell, but small matter as you ll be there for few minutes only. Maybe they should move the garbage bin...

The cleanliness of this hotel room was acceptable, but the temperature and air conditioning inside were completely unsatisfactory, making me feel very uncomfortable. The AC needed to be on for 3-4 hours before it started to feel cool, making the room feel uncomfortable and stuffy. The entire lobby was also uncooled. I'm not sure if this hotel is trying to save on electricity, but they made customers wait in the lobby and not feel comfortable...
